BE TRANSFORMED!

Debbie Brewer

March 26, 2024

Romans 12:2 (TPT) says,

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  We become a new creation when we get saved, but we are transformed by the renewing of our mind.  Interesting as the word “transformed” here in Romans is the same Greek word (metamorphoo) used in Mark 9:2 talking about Jesus being transfigured!

Is your mind being renewed? Are you changing?  Is your thinking different?  Sometimes when people get saved, they try to act like what they thought a Christian was when they were unsaved!  After all, there is no one who can challenge you about being a Christian more than an unsaved person (or someone very religious).  Once we are saved, the truth of the Word of God comes to change our thinking therefore transforming us.  It is not knowledge added to our thinking, but transforming truth working in us!

As my mind is being renewed, it will challenge my thoughts and thought patterns.  John 8:32 says,

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Let me paraphrase this – the truth we know and practice makes us free.  I know that brushing my teeth will aid in good oral hygiene. However, if I do not practice that truth, the “knowledge” of the truth does me no good and my teeth will rot while I know the truth of brushing my teeth.

Let’s discuss the truth of God in our world and in our lives.  God has always partnered with man in the earth.  It is the purpose for which man was created,

“Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”                                                         Genesis 1:26

Then God created man and gave him these very instructions in Genesis 1:28,

“Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over everything living thing that moves on the earth.”

We see that commandment repeated to Noah and his sons.  Then Jesus demonstrated to us dominion over earth - quieting the sea, cursing the fig tree, calling the haul of fish into Peter’s net, multiplying the loaves and fishes; and dominion over the supernatural  – defeating Satan in the wilderness, casting out demons, healing the sick, raising the dead, cleansing the lepers, and delivering those who were bound, being crucified, leading captivity captive and taking the keys to death, hell and the grave.

There is no doubt that God is supreme.  He is the Creator!  He made the universe and everything in it.  He put the boundaries for the seas. He is Lord of all!  He is the Most High God! He made hell for demons and will judge all things in the end.  He is absolutely good so we know that no one will be in hell that was not given every opportunity to change that destination and condemnation.  Jesus, the perfect lamb, was the sacrifice for our sin that we might be reconciled to God and have eternal life.  He is not “A” good god, as one of many.  He is the ONLY good and living God!!!

Many of us have been religionized.  One statement that is popular in Christianity is “God is in control!”  To open our eyes and equip us to grow in our responsibility and authority in Christ, let’s challenge that statement.

Religion makes us passive and powerless.  The statement “God is in control” encourages us to be passive.  After all, I don’t have to do anything because He is in control. This leads to lazy or no faith. If He’s in control, then everything that comes down the road for me must be His will – sickness, poverty, hopelessness, lack, loss, etc., etc., correct?   NO!!!

If we don’t understand the responsibility, authority and power He has given us through Jesus Christ under the New Covenant and the power of the Holy Spirit, then we allow anything to happen in our lives without any resistance.

Let’s ponder another question: Was God in the Garden?  Of course, we know the answer to that is “Yes”!  Was He in control there?  If He was in control, then how did Satan enter the serpent and deceive Eve?  Satan got in because Adam, who was tasked with tending and keeping the garden, was not doing his job!

Here’s a word picture: You clean your teenage son’s room. You’ve purchased new bedding. The floor is swept.  The furniture is dusted.  All of his clothes are clean and hung up.  When he comes in from school, you tell him, “I am giving you this room.  It is yours. This is how it needs to look. Here is a vacuum cleaner.  Here is a dusting cloth.  You know where the washer and dryer are.”  In two weeks, you go into his room, and it looks like a pig sty.

You own the house, but you’ve given the room to him.  Who is in control of his room?

Isn’t that what God did in Genesis?  He made everything and saw that it was good.  He provided every necessity BEFORE He created man.  Then when He created Adam, God told him to tend and keep the Garden!

If God is in control, does that negate what Jesus said in Mark 9:23?

“If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

That seems to indicate our believing is what makes things possible – not God’s control.

Here are a few more questions:

If God is in control, why did He give man dominion?

If God is in control, why did He let Adam name the animals?

If God is in control, why did He create the serpent knowing Satan would

use it to tempt and deceive Eve?

If God is in control, why did Jesus have to die?  Why couldn’t He just put everyone in heaven?

If God is in control, why does anyone go to hell?

If God is in control, why do we have to put on our spiritual armor?

If God is in control, why did He give our tongues the power of death and life?

If God is in control, why do we need to resist the devil?

If God is in control, why do we need to be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit?

Let me suggest – God allows what we allow.  SELAH! (think and meditate on this)

Manipulation and control are forms of witchcraft.  God would NEVER be involved with that.  God always gives a choice.  There are consequences with every choice.

Choosing righteously, brings blessing.  Choosing for the flesh or demonically, brings cursing.  Choice indicates lack of control.  Control gives NO choice.

If God allows what we allow, then what is our responsibility?

Believe what the word of God says.

Believe what the word of God says is for you!

Believe what Jesus did is for you today, in 2024!

Believe if God ever did, He is still doing it.

Believe you can take it – if God is only healing, delivering, prospering, or talking to one person today, it’s going to be ME!!!

All card-carrying Christians believe nothing is impossible with God, but religion  has explained to us that God isn’t healing today.  God isn’t delivering today.  God isn’t prospering today. Sounds like we’ve been gaslighted – we think we believe nothing is impossible, but then we’ve been told God is doing none of the impossible things now.  Therefore, we better grin and bear it while nothing is possible!

Jesus performed signs, wonders, miracles, healing and deliverance under the Old Covenant. Hebrews 8:6 tells us that Jesus is the mediator of a better covenant, established on better promises.  If that is true, then how can we believe that everything He did is NOT for us now?  How can the New Covenant be better with better promises than the Old Covenant if the New Covenant doesn’t include what Jesus did under the Old Covenant? (could you follow that?)

Here is your equipping. Think of yourself going to an armory and getting equipped for what you are about to face.  Satan came after Jesus – don’t think you are not in his crosshairs, too!  God’s will is that we always triumph through Christ Jesus!

Paul tells US to take our thoughts captive from running rampant with doubt, unbelief, fear, negativity, stress, anxiety…  (What are we thinking?  Stress calls to stress.  Anger calls to anger.  Fear calls to fear.  Peace calls to peace.  Faith calls…)

”We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One. Since we are armed with such dynamic weaponry, we stand ready to punish any trace of rebellion, as soon as you choose complete obedience.“ 2 Corinthians 10:5-6 TPT

Paul tells us to put on the whole armor of God.  (Are we dressing out or leaving our armor behind?)

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.  Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.  Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,  and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.  In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.  Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.  And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.      Ephesians 6:10-18 NIV

We engage the angels by speaking the word of God aloud.  (Do we speak His promises out loud?  Do we even know what God has said He will do?)

“Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.   Psalm 103:20

Jesus gave us authority.  (Are we using our authority?)

“…I have imparted to you ALL my authority to TRAMPLE OVER his kingdom.  You will TRAMPLE upon EVERY demon before you and OVERCOME EVERY power Satan possesses. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING will be able to harm you as you walk in this authority.”     Luke 10:19 TPT (emphasis mine)

Jesus told us we’ve been given power.  (Those who control don’t want others to have power.)  (Are we SEIZED with it?)

“…the Holy Spirit will come upon you and you will be seized with power.”

                                                                                       Acts 1:8 TPT

Jesus told us to speak to our mountains and they would move.  (What mountains are we speaking to – or have we been praying for 30 years with no results?)

“…whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”                   Mark 11:23

The disciples went out speaking the word.  (Are we speaking the word in order for signs to follow?)

“And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs.” Mark 16:20

Our tongues have the power of death and life. (Do we speak death words or life words?)

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue.  And those who love it will eat its fruit.”                                                            Proverbs 18:21

One last portion of scripture – we can bind and loose in heaven and on earth!!!  (Are we binding and loosing?)

The following is from an article by Tim Sheets on  ElijahList.com:  (Ekklesia means legislative, governing body)

“Matthew 16:18–19 says, "... upon this rock [of revelation] I will build My Church [Ekklesia]; and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on Earth shall be bound in Heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on Earth shall be loosed in Heaven" (KJV, brackets mine).

In his book, Prayer Is Invading the Impossible, respected leader Jack Hayford (now in Heaven) – based on a literal rendering of the Greek verbiage – says the following as a careful amplification of the above verses:

"Whatever you may at any time encounter (of Hell's counsels, which I'm declaring My Church shall prevail against), you will then face a decision as to whether you will or won't bind it. What transpires will be conditional upon your response. If you do personally and consciously involve yourself in the act of binding the issue on Earth, you will discover that at that future moment when you do, that it has already been bound.  Matthew 16:18-19”

(emphasis mine)

See your calling?  Believe.  Rise up. Be transformed from passive to believing and acting.  Be transformed from lazy/no faith to overcoming faith.  Be transformed from “God is in control” to God is working with me and confirming the spoken word through signs and wonders.  Be transformed from que sera sera to walking in authority. Throw off the passive, powerless thinking of religion and walk in the power and authority as the Ekklesia (the governing, legislative body), the saved, filled with the power of the Holy Ghost child of the Most High God!!!

It Is Written!

March 21, 2024

Often, we have a skewed picture of history – even in the Bible. We read the Bible as if the people in the books knew what the outcome was.  We are reading from the present backward, knowing how things turned out. However, they lived their lives forward, not knowing the outcome.

Let’s look at the life of Jesus leading up to His temptation in the wilderness.  While there are more signs pointing to Jesus in the Old Testament, we will start in Isaiah and move through the gospels. We will include John the Baptist, as he plays a role in the life of Jesus.

Prophecy - A Son will be born; the government will be upon His shoulder; His name will be Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace; His government will continue to increase, as well as peace.  He will be upon the throne of David ordering and establishing the kingdom.  Isaiah 9:6-7

Genealogy - Matthew 1 tells us the genealogy of Jesus

An angel appears to Zacharias foretelling the birth of John - Luke 1

Gabriel appears to Mary telling her of the conception and birth of Jesus; He will be great; called the Son of the Highest; the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David; He will reign over the house of Jacob forever; no end to His kingdom.  Luke 1:31-33

Mary Visits Elizabeth – Elizabeth is filled with the Holy Spirit and John leaps in her womb, and she asks why the mother of her Lord should visit?

Luke 1:41, 43-44

John the Baptist is born – Zacharias prophesies John would be called the prophet of the Highest and go before the Lord to prepare His ways.   Luke 1:76

An angel appears to Joseph assuring him what was happening to Mary was of the Holy Spirit.  The angel reiterates that His name would be Jesus, who would save people from their sins.  Matthew 1:20-21

There were even prophetic signs about Jesus being born in a stable.  There was no room in the inn – a sign of no room in men’s hearts.  Bethlehem was where the temple sacrifices were raised. Jesus was born in the stable where temple sheep sacrifices were kept. Jesus is the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.  The Angel appeared to the temple shepherds that kept the temple sacrifices.

An angel appears to the shepherds declaring a Savior was born that day.  This was the sign - the baby would be wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.

Luke 2:11-12

A multitude of heavenly hosts join the angel.  Luke 2:14

At eight days, Jesus was circumcised in the temple.   Anna and Simeon are there.

Simeon declares he has seen God’s salvation, and a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles and to Israel. Anna spoke of Him as the redemption. Luke 2:30-32, 38

Wise Men – the wise men following the Star which stood over where Jesus was, visited the house (not the stable) where the young Child (not the baby) was.  They gave kingly gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.  Matthew 2:9, 11

An angel appears to Joseph in a dream warning him to flee to Egypt because Herod would try to kill the child. Matthew 2:13  This fulfills prophecy, “Out of Egypt I called My Son. Matthew 2:15

Herod kills boys, two years and under, in Bethlehem and all its districts.  This tells us Jesus must have been two years or under at this time.

At 12, Jesus spends three days at the temple with the teachers, listening and asking questions.  All who heard were astonished at His understanding and answers. When Joseph and Mary finally found him, Jesus answers He must be about His Father’s business.  Luke 41:49

John the Baptist baptizes Jesus, now around 30 years of age.  John proclaims Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.  John says He has seen and testifies that Jesus is the Son of God.  John 1:29, 34

God speaks audibly from heaven, “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.  Luke 3:22

Hebrews 11;6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him (God)…”

God made the proclamation at the baptism of Jesus that He was well pleased with Jesus showing us that Jesus lived a life of faith, therefore He was pleasing to God!

This really is an incredible series of events.  The Bible tells us that Jesus grew in favor with God and man, but there is no record in the Bible of anything in these “silent” years.

Immediately after His water baptism, Jesus is driven into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil recorded in Luke 4:1-13.  We all know the famous words of the devil, “If you are the Son of God…” Luke 4:3, 9

Consider – Jesus had no “proof” He was the Son of God.  He had done no miracles yet – He would begin those after the wilderness since He is now filled with the Holy Spirit. He had no disciples – they would be chosen after the wilderness.  He had no signs, wonders or miracles on the resume of His pedigree.  What about all the prophesies and signs and wonders leading up to His birth?

Think back – all the prophesies, signs and wonders happened before or at His birth.  He went from newborn (angels, star, shepherds); to circumcision at eight days old; to wise men at two years old; to being in the temple at 12 and the next thing we read is about His baptism at 30.  There was an eight-day gap, a two-year gap, a 10-year gap and now an 18-year gap with no signs and no confirmations until now. Did Jesus “feel” like the Son of God?  Did Jesus have anything on which to lay His “hat” that He was the Son of God? No!  The only proof that Jesus had that he was the Son of God is what He had been told!  THE WORD!

What has God told us?  Hasn’t He told us we are beloved?  Hasn’t He told us He has plans that are good for us? Hasn’t He told us Jesus was nailed to the cross for our salvation and striped for our healing? Hasn’t He told us He has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness?  Hasn’t He told us He will never leave us nor forsake us? Hasn’t He told us nothing is impossible to them that believe?

So, since Jesus had no physical “proof”, He stood on THE WORD!

Satan tempted Jesus saying “if you are the Son of God” (leaving off “beloved” which God had just audibly said at His baptism)  – PROVE IT!!  Wasn’t that the real temptation – to prove He believed the word of God?

Hasn’t God told us – “By His stripes we are healed?” (Isa:53:5) I am the Lord that healeth thee.” (Exodus 15:26), but the devil says to us, “PROVE IT! He, the accuser of the brethren, asks “Do you still have pain? Do you still have symptoms?”  We don’t look for proof – that’s sight and sense faith.  Our response is the mighty razor-sharp Spirit sword of the spoken word of God (Ephesians 6:18 TPT) -  IT IS WRITTEN!

Didn’t Paul tell us “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law”? Galatians 3:13/Deuteronomy 28:15-68, but the devil says, “PROVE IT! Do you have inflammation, indebtedness, illness, oppression, broken relationships etc. etc.?”  We don’t look for proof – that’s sight and sense faith.  Our response is the mighty razor-sharp Spirit sword of the spoken word of God (Ephesians 6:18 TPT) - IT IS WRITTEN!

We declare and decree “…My God supplies all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Phil 4:19), but the devil says “PROVE IT! Do you still have needs?”  We don’t look for proof – that’s sight and sense faith.  Our response is the mighty razor-sharp Spirit sword of the spoken word of God (Ephesians 6:18 TPT) -  IT IS WRITTEN!

Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10), but the devil says, “PROVE IT! Name one thing God has done for you that’s abundant!”  We don’t look for proof – that’s sight and sense faith.  Our response is the mighty razor-sharp Spirit sword of the spoken word of God (Ephesians 6:18 TPT) -  IT IS WRITTEN!

Jesus heard an audible voice saying, “This is My beloved Son”.  Others heard it.

What about us?  We hear lots of things.  How many sermons have we heard?  How many Christian books have we read?  How many prophecies have we heard or read?  Have we even had prophetic words that haven’t come to pass yet?  18 years ago?  20 years ago?  100 years ago?  It doesn’t matter. The devil comes to tempt us with unbelief. We stand on and agree with the mighty razor-sharp Spirit sword of the spoken word of God!

Note:  In the great commission in Mark 16, Jesus said signs WILL FOLLOW them that believe.  We don’t follow our healing, our provision, our abundance, our whatever.  We lead with faith, believing and speaking the word of God!

Jesus stood on the word, just like we must.  We stand on the mighty razor-sharp Spirit sword of the spoken word of God (Ephesians 6:18 TPT) -  IT IS WRITTEN!

Redeemed From The Curse!

Debbie Brewer

March 6, 2024

I was raised in a pastor’s home.  Both my grandfathers were ministers.  I have myriad relatives who are ministers.  I have been saved since I was 5 years old – about 20 years now (LOL). What does that mean?  That means that I could be very religious and know a lot of Biblical stuff, but not believe or practice one thing!  How many times have I read the Bible or even attended church and heard ABOUT God, but it has only added to my knowledge, mental ascent and pride that “I’ve got it all together” and (pat me on the back) “the sermon is about someone else not me.”

Jesus brought the Jews back to the pristine law. The woman caught in the very act of adultery?  Hmmm. Something fishy about this story. How can someone be caught in the very act of adultery ALONE?  It’s not possible.  He was not TOLERATING her sin.  If He was, He would not have told her to go and sin no more.  Jesus was doing a couple of things in this story.

First, He forgave the woman. He showed that adultery, which had been a capital offense before – meaning they (the man and woman) would have been stoned - was now forgiveable.

Secondly, He balanced the scales of justice.  God hates an unjust balance.  They brought the woman, but where was the man?  If the man got off free – so did the woman.

If I have missed that, what else have I missed in the scriptures?  What are the chances there could be more truths that I’ve missed?  Answer:  Lots of chances!

Since you are reading this, the assumption is you are a Christian and you know about the cross, the blood of Christ and the redemption of man, but have we missed some things?  Read the following verses out of Romans:

”So if while we were still enemies, God fully reconciled us to himself through the death of his Son, then something greater than friendship is ours. Now that we are at peace with God, and because we share in his resurrection life, how much more we will be rescued from sin’s dominion!“. ”And even more than that, we overflow with triumphant joy in our new relationship of living reconciled to God—ALL BECAUSE OF JESUS CHRIST!“                                               Romans 5:10-11 TPT

I LOVE PAUL!  It’s like he is a walking book of adjectives:

We’re not just reconciled to God, but fully reconciled.

We don’t have friendship, but something greater than friendship.

We don’t just have resurrection life, but share in the resurrection life of Jesus.

We aren’t just rescued from sin’s dominion, but it’s more than the resurrection life.

But wait…there’s more: we don’t just have joy, we overflow with triumphant joy!!!

”But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.) Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous. Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.“.                                                                                             Romans 5:15-21 NKJV

What is he saying?  He’s saying the free gift of righteousness that Jesus gives is not like Adam’s offense.  So every time, we want to elevate sin above the cross, we must remember that what Jesus did was GREATER!  My sin did not keep me from getting saved and it does not keep me from staying saved.

”But keeping the law does not require faith, but self-effort. For the law teaches, “If you practice the principles of law, you must follow all of them.” Yet, Christ paid the full price to set us free from the curse of the law. He absorbed it completely as he became a curse in our place. For it is written: “Everyone who is hung upon a tree is doubly cursed.” Jesus, our Messiah, was cursed in our place and in so doing, dissolved the curse from our lives, so that all the blessings of Abraham can be poured out upon even non-Jewish believers. And now God gives us the promise of the wonderful Holy Spirit who lives within us when we believe in him.“

Galatians 3:12-14 TPT

Did you get that?  Keeping the law is self-effort! SELF-EFFORT – I can’t save myself.

This also says that Jesus paid the full price by becoming a curse for us to set us free from the curses of the law.  Isn’t that a great scripture?  Galatians 3:13.  I’m sure we’ve all quoted it, but what actually does it mean?  Do we even know what the curses are?  Have we been so “sins forgiven” conscious that we’ve missed all the other things Jesus did for us?

We read the blessings and curses of the law in Deuteronomy 28.  The first 14 verses tell us the blessings that we have by keeping the law.  The law was in place for over 1,000 years proving to us NO ONE could keep ALL the law.  That is until Jesus came!

Then in Deuteronomy 28:15-68 are the curses of not keeping the law.  Verses 3-13 are the blessings.  Verses 16-68 are the curses.   11 verses of blessing.  53 verses of curses. Over four times as many curses as blessings!

Don’t you think we should know what we have been redeemed from?  Sin? Yes, but so much more!!! After all, our adversary goes about seeking whom he may devour.  He’s looking for ignorant ones to steal from, kill and destroy.

If you have any of these symptoms, diseases, problems, issues – YOU HAVE BEEN REDEEMED FROM THEM.  Did you read – inflammation, boils, fever, TB, fear, rejection, prolonged sicknesses and SO MUCH MORE!!!!

We are faith lazy. When someone gets a cold – we think, “it will just run its course” (no faith needed here).  Someone gets a terrible diagnosis – we hear “healing is not for today”.  (no faith needed here).  “It must be God’s will” (no faith needed here).

OUCH!

We don’t believe what God’s word says “by his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5); “by whose stripes you WERE healed” I Peter 2:24  DONE, DONE, DONE.

BUT get around someone with the flu and we believe we will have it next.  Covid?  The church of the Lord Jesus Christ – His Body – who were told by Jesus as part of the great commission in Mark 16 to lay hands on the sick and they shall recover – didn’t walk in faith and power – but believed what the enemy was dishing out MORE THAN WHAT GOD SAYS AND HAS DONE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST and shut the doors!!!! We are carriers of healing not carriers of sickness. We didn’t believe this, and because we shut the doors, we weren’t laying hands on anyone else to give them relief!!!  OUCH, OUCH and MORE OUCH!!!

There must come a renewal of the mind to transform us. (Roman’s 12:2) A victor does not think like a defeated person. A prosperous person does not think like a poor person. A saved, Holy Ghost filled Christian should not still think like a passive, powerless person without God!  Until we are changed, we don’t even know there is a different way to think.

Therefore, the gospel MUST change us. We CANNOT think the same. Therefore we CANNOT remain the same.

“…be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.“             Romans 12:2 TPT

Reformation of our thinking empowers us to discern God’s will.

”For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.“                                    Hebrews 4:2 NKJV

If we only hear good “lessons” or have mental ascent to what we already believe, then we are not putting into action the Word we hear. Hearing the word of God brings Faith which causes believing which causes action obtaining the object of our faith

Example: Hearing the gospel (word of God) calls forth Faith in salvation

Producing believing for salvation

Causing confession for salvation

Obtaining salvation

Hearing the gospel calls forth faith in healing

Producing believing for healing

Causing confession of healing

Obtaining healing

Hearing the word of God calls forth faith in prosperity (provision is wilderness thinking)

Producing believing for prosperity

Causing confession of prosperity

Obtaining prosperity

It works for the kingdom of darkness in fear.

Hear a word of poverty, sickness, loss calls forth fear for poverty, sickness, loss

Producing believing for poverty, sickness, loss

Causing confession of poverty, sickness, loss

Obtaining (or continuing) poverty, sickness, loss

At the LEAST believing in God’s word changes our thoughts.

If our thoughts change, our confession changes.

If our confession changes, our behavior changes.

If our behavior changes, it changes other’s behavior around us and toward us.

Jesus not only kept the law for me - He paid the price for me not keeping it. He fulfilled the law.   Let’s read Galatians 3:13 again:

”Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.“                                                                                                     Galatians 3:13-14 NKJV

What is the definition of faith? According to Hebrews 11:1 (emphasis mine):

“Now faith (not tomorrow faith or next week faith or heaven faith – NOW faith) is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (not seen yet).

We must stop putting off until heaven (believing we will get redeemed from the curses after we die) – what we have NOW. We have already died. We have already been crucified. (Galatians 2:20)  In Deuteronomy 11:21, God tells the Children of Israel to lay up His words:

“…that your days and the days of your children may be multiplied in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give them, like the days of the heavens above the earth.”

Jesus said,

“Your kingdom come.  Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.”

Matthews 6:10

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven (NOW - not when I die). We must raise our thinking - heaven is not our promised land!  There are no giants to overcome in heaven.  Our life is our promised land.  We have to kick the enemies and giants out of our lives.  How?  By the authority of the Word and what Jesus has already done for us.

”Yet through his powerful declaration of acquittal, God freely gives away his righteousness. His gift of love and favor now cascades over us, all because Jesus, the Anointed One, has liberated us from the guilt, punishment, and power of sin! Jesus’ God-given destiny was to be the sacrifice to take away sins, and now he is our mercy seat because of his death on the cross. We come to him for mercy, for God has made a provision for us to be forgiven by faith in the sacred blood of Jesus. This is the perfect demonstration of God’s justice, because until now, he had been so patient—holding back his justice out of his tolerance for us. So he covered over the sins of those who lived prior to Jesus’ sacrifice. And when the season of tolerance came to an end, there was only one possible way for God to give away his righteousness and still be true to both his justice and his mercy—to offer up his own Son. So now, because we stand on the faithfulness of Jesus, God declares us righteous in his eyes!“

Romans 3:24-26 TPT

Any of the curses listed in Deuteronomy 28:16-68 Jesus has redeemed us from, which means it is God’s will that we be free from them BECAUSE WE STAND ON THE FAITHFULNESS OF JESUS!!!

Receive the revelation of what Jesus has done through the word.  Make it personal:

”Christ has redeemed ME from the curse of the law, having become a curse for ME (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon ME in Christ Jesus, that I might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.“                                                                                                    Galatians 3:13-14 NKJV

Faith, come forth for redemption from all the curses.

Believe in your heart you are redeemed from the curses.

Confess with your mouth that you are redeemed from the curses.

Obtain your freedom from the curses.

Possess your promised land!

Seeds, Seeds, Everywhere Seeds

March 1, 2024

We are entering the time of year when the weather turns warmer and it’s time to plant seeds to grow food or flowers.  Seeds like that are natural seeds, but Jesus told us about spiritual seeds:

“A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it. Some fell on rock; and as soon as it sprang up, it withered away because it lacked moisture. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up with it and choked it. But others fell on good ground, sprang up, and yielded a crop a hundredfold.” When He had said these things He cried, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

“Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity. But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.“  Luke 8:5-8, 11-15 NKJV

Please note this is a parable about the soil – not the seed.  The seed of God’s word never returns void and when believed, always produces. For example, this talks about the birds of the air devouring the seed.  When those birds “deposit” the seed in another place, it will produce.  I used to find blackberry bushes growing in my landscaping.  I had not planted blackberry seed, but some little bird did!

Years ago, I read about seed found in a pyramid or another tomb that had been buried (out of soil) for over 1500 years.  When the seeds were planted in good soil, those 1500-year-old seeds grew!  Life is in the seed.  Selah!

Natural seeds come in seed packets.  The seed packet does not show you a picture of the seed but shows a picture of the harvest! It shows the type, the color, and the appearance of the harvest.  In like manner, spiritual seed (the word of God) comes in a seed packet showing the type, color, and appearance of the harvest, as well.

God gives a picture of harvest when He interacts with man.  Didn’t he show the harvest to be expected with Adam? (Genesis 1:26-30)   He also showed a seed packet to Abraham (Genesis 12:2-3) and to Moses and the children of Israel (Deuteronomy 28:1-14). Let’s look at Mary in Luke 1:30-33:

”Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and (here’s the picture of your harvest):

You shall bring forth a Son

You  shall call His name Jesus

He will be great

He will be called the Son of the Highest

the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David

He will reign over the house of Jacob forever

of His kingdom there will be no end

Luke 1:30-33 NKJV

Apparently, Mary could see the picture of the harvest.  She wanted it and she received the seed because her response was

”…Let it be to me according to your word…”     Luke 1:38 NKJV

Let’s read another parable about seed:

”Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So, the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them but gather the wheat into my barn.”  Matthew 13:24-30 NKJV

From the first parable, we see that the seed is the word of God.  Both parables show us that the enemy wants to either steal our harvest (he is a thief, after all) or plant seeds for tares among our purposed and desired wheat harvest.  What are tare seeds?  Seeds of doubt and unbelief.

What does that look like? We plant purposeful, faith filled seed for a harvest of provision, healing, victory, wisdom etc.  That seed (word of God) sounds like:

“My God supplies all my need according to His riches in glory.”  (Phil. 4:19)

“By His Stripes I am healed.” (Isa. 53:5 and I Peter 2:24)

“I am more than a conqueror.”  (Romans 8:37)

We are confessing what that mature seed at harvest will look like.

Over time – because harvest comes through seed, TIME and harvest, the enemy brings his seed packet and shows it to us.  We then plant his seed:

“I’m sick”

“I’m poor”

“I don’t know how I’m going to make it”

What seed grows more? What do I tend and keep (My Garden of Eden)?  What do I cultivate, weed and water?  If we don’t catch it, we have just changed over from faith seed to sight and sense seed.

In a natural garden, farmers put the seed packets at the end of the rows.  Why?  To remind them what they planted WHEN THEY SEE NOTHING GROWING YET!

Words have power.

”Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.“               Proverbs 18:21 NKJV

Whatever we speak is our confession. It is not a “manipulated” speech or writing like this, but what we speak in unguarded moments. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.  Listen to what you are saying.  We can change our hearts and fill it with faith by putting the seed (word of God) in front of us and reading it because, “…faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”                                             Romans 10:17

Many times, we speak words hoping God will hear our positive words and reward us with answers, but we need to understand our words have power of their own. (Prov 18:21).  According to Proverbs 18:21, words alone are so powerful that they determine death or life!  What are we speaking in the times we don’t think God is listening?

Don’t we receive the word (seed) of salvation (God’s word), mix it with faith and confession to harvest salvation? YES!  Here’s great news!!!  All of the promises of God mixed with faith and confession will bring His promised harvest!!

Eternal life - John 3:16

Griefs and sorrows carried

Transgressions forgiven

Chain of iniquities broken

Peace

Healing – Isaiah 53:4-5

Provision and prosperity – Deuteronomy 28:1-14; Philippians 4:19

Victory – Romans 10:17

Those are just a few seeds.  The whole Bible is full of God’s seed packets.  Find seed for your desired harvest and plant it.  Confess it.  Water it. Tend it.  Keep it.

Receive your seed with this confession:

“BE IT UNTO ME ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD!”

2024:
The Year of the Open Door!

Alva Jean Chesser

February 27, 2024

You may ask “What open door?”

“Then the Lord said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation.”

Genesis 7:1 NKJV

A friend recently asked me…

Alva Jean, why did God say COME into the ark... instead of GO into the ark...?

As I meditated upon that question, it began to open up more and more - and it’s all about Jesus!

Come unto Me - Jesus is the Ark!

“Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I AM THE DOOR of the sheep.”

John 10:7 NKJV

“I AM THE DOOR. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.”

John 10:9 NKJV

I believe we have stepped into an open door through Christ Jesus to experience the glory of the Lord as we have never experienced Him before!

I believe to see salvations, miracles, healings, preservation, protection, prosperity, and many, many set free from those things that have bound them over the years!

Even as the Children of Israel was led out of Egypt to head toward the land of promise, so we are being led out to move into all the promises of God!

We are moving into the third month of 2024 in 3 days, and I know we are closer than ever before to seeing the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living, such as has not been seen - ever!

I grew up in revival!  I grew up seeing all kind of healings and miracles and God providing in great and wondrous ways!  I grew up with great manifestations of the Holy Ghost, and the glory of the Lord that is upon us is going to be seen and experienced greater than all the past moves of God put together!

There was an old song that we used to hear and sing - When the spirit of the Lord moves upon my heart, I will dance like David danced!

Get your dancing shoes out!  God is coming in SPIRIT and in POWER!

“For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, As the waters cover the sea.”

Habakkuk 2:14 NKJV

I believe to see sinners, WOKE people, and many, many to be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord and come running with great joy to experience all the Lord Jesus Christ died to give to Get ready!

Get ready!!  The GLORY IS HERE!

PEACE

Debbie Brewer

February 19, 2024

I speak peace to you.

Peace – the calm, quiet, serene peace that passes all understanding.

Peace that Jesus bought in the atonement when He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities, and striped for our healing, “...The chastisement for our peace was upon Him…”  Isaiah 53:5

I speak peace to you - whatever you are going through. Whatever the enemy is throwing at you. Whatever roadblocks the enemy is trying to keep as you progress, PEACE!

Peace - a benefit of the price Jesus paid.

The enemy always brings darkness.  We don’t know which way to go or what to do.  Yet, just as when the earth was in darkness and the Holy Spirit was brooding over it, the Holy Spirit broods over you, child of the Most High God.

CHAOS

The enemy brings chaos by busyness, distraction, and ambushments.    What are ambushments?  Things that blindside us.  We never see it coming.  You are not only dealing with your chaos, but chaos the enemy wants to bring into your spouse’s, your children’s, and your friends’ lives.

Chaos is what God saw in Genesis 1:2, “The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep.”

What was the first thing God did to begin to bring peace over the earth?  He spoke light into being.  LIGHT BE!

This, too, is what we need when the enemy has caused confusion and mental muddling.  After the light came, God then began to bring order and rhythm to the earth.  Day and night.  Sun, moon and stars.  Oceans with tides and waves.  Animals with birthing cycles.  Seasons.

The Bible is not a magical book.  As it sits on coffee tables, is stowed in backpacks, kept in cars and in millions of hotel nightstands, it is the logos.  Yes, the written recording of words – God’s words, but it can do nothing sitting there.  However, take that same book and those same words and mix them with faith and they become the RHEMA word of His power (Dunamis).

Jesus said we are the light of the world.  May the light that is in you shine on your path. Put a demand on the Holy Spirit within you to give you strategy through a word of wisdom or a word of knowledge. Possibly you are speaking answers when you pray in tongues – interpret them and see what God is saying.

Peace.

Be.

Be who He has made you to be – a child of the Most High God.  He has given you all His authority to trample over the devil’s kingdom.  You will trample upon every demon before you and overcome every power Satan possesses.  Luke 10:19 TPT

ETERNAL

God works through the eternal.  He is not confined by time.  Nothing is impossible.  The sun stood still and moved back.  Seas and rivers parted.  Dead were and are still raised.  Terminal illnesses were and are healed. Provision given and fortunes restored. The enemy wants to bring our issues out of the eternal and into “time” where our faith is challenged – “This situation has gone on for “x” number of years.  If God hasn’t healed, provided, restored, or performed miracles in those years, why would He do it now?”  Ever had that thought?

Here's why.  God never changes.  God never gets weaker, only our faith or expectation weakens.  If He could have done it “x” number of years ago, He can still do it now.  He’s the same yesterday, today and forever.  Look at our “timelines” as files in a drawer.  God is outside the drawer.  He can insert into any “time file” whenever our faith obtains it!

EDEN

Consider your life to be your Eden.  God put Adam in the garden to tend and to keep it. (Genesis 2:15) Your life is your Eden.  Tend and keep your Eden.  Your peace is the “shield” around your Eden.  When the enemy comes to attack, your peace mixed with faith can be a “force field” (my attraction to sci-fi coming through) to quench the arrows of the enemy!!!! Then, don’t keep your Eden the same size, enlarge it.  Take the enemy’s territory.  The word says the gates of hell will not prevail against the church – isn’t that you and me?

Peace.

Whatever this last week or today or even the last hour has been like, I speak peace to you!

In your peace, prepare.  The enemy will come again.  He left Jesus after the wilderness until a “more opportune time.” You know the demonic will attack or resist you again.  He thinks he’s a roaring lion and he’s seeking prey.  How can you prepare?

  1.  Make a Book of Remembrance

When Satan attacks, your mind can go blank and then you can’t remember anything God has done for you.

List things God had done and does for you. List answers to prayer. Be sure to date it!!!

Hint: start with the date you were saved- greatest thing He will ever do for you!!!

Then when the enemy blinds your mind to what God has ever done for you – you have a ready list to remind yourself, building your faith, and resisting the enemy.

  1.  Write down your decrees and declarations. What do you believe God is going to do for you?

“You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.“    Job 22:28 NKJV

”For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.“   Mark 11:23-24 NKJV

What are you saying? You are saying what is in your heart. (Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks)

Is Faith coming out in your speech or is doubt, negativity, and unbelief?

Put in your eye and ear gates what you want to plant in your heart, and your heart will speak it. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

Write out your decrees and declarations and rehearse them. Faith comes when you hear the word of God and that means your shield of faith is strengthened to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one!  You are an overcomer.  You are more than a conqueror.

Peace!

An Invitation

An Invitation

Prophetic voices have said God is about to bring in a 1,000,000,000 (that’s billion) soul harvest.  Just to give perspective, the population of the US is recorded at just over 333 million.  I am asking God for more.  If Abraham could negotiate with God for the saving of Sodom and Gomorrah by bringing the number of righteous down, why can’t we ask God to do more in the saving of souls in the 21st century?

A billion souls coming into the kingdom?  What does that mean?  It means all hands on deck.  It means those of us who have been taught year after year after year are now going to be needed to teach, train and lead.  Actually, we’ve always needed that.

This is nothing new as Hebrews 6:1 TPT says,

“Now is the time for us to progress beyond the basic message of Christ and advance into perfection.  The foundation has already been laid for us to build upon; turning away from our dead works to embrace faith in God, teaching about different baptisms, impartation by the laying on of hands, resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. So with God’s enablement we will move on to deeper truths.”

If you’ve believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ, then you are saved.  STOP CHASING SIN!  Before you were saved, you followed sin.  Now that you are saved, stop chasing sin and trying to get rid of it. That’s the job of the Holy Spirit!  Your sin did not keep you from getting saved.  CHASE GOD!  The Holy Spirit will convict you of sin.  Pay attention!

I don’t get saved because I quit sinning.  If I could quit sinning before I got saved, then why did Jesus have to suffer and die?  No longer sinning doesn’t save me – believing on the Lord Jesus Christ saves me and enables me to stop sinning!

Salvation was not just a decision for Christ, but I was touched by the power, the “dunamis” (the Greek word in this verse) of God.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the POWER (dunamis) of God to salvation for everyone who believes… Romans 1:16 (emphasis mine)

God broke us free from the stronghold of sin.

Likewise, if we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we’ve again experienced the power (dunamis) of God. Jesus said

“Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power (dunamis) from on high”.      Luke 24:49

WHO ARE WE?

As children of the Most High God, we must know who we are.  If we believe we ARE just a sinner saved by grace, then we are focusing on who we WERE.  I could easily say, I am just an adult who used to poop in my diapers.  What does that have to do with anything now?

When Jesus, the Son of God filled with the Spirit of God, went to his hometown, he could do no mighty works except heal a few sick folks.  Why?  They remembered who He WAS.

“Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon?  And are not His sisters here with us? So they were offended at Him…Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them.”    Mark 6:3, 5

You were a sinner, but that is not who you are NOW!  A religious spirit wants to keep us all weepy eyed, sentimental, and powerless thinking and confessing we are sinners instead of being empowered to move as joint heirs with Jesus Christ!

Let’s even raise the revelation that we are a child of the Most High God with eternal life.  I am not just a human saved by Jesus Christ going to heaven.  I am a child of God already seated in heavenly places walking this part of my spiritual life out by having a human experience!!  I’m not a human having a spiritual experience.  I’m a spiritual being having a human experience!

I’m not waiting until I die to have eternal life.  If I wait until then, it will be too late.  I have eternal life now.  Renew your mind.  Whatever you are waiting to die to get, realize you already died (I am crucified with Christ), and you have eternal life NOW, healing NOW, provision NOW, etc.

A BIG GOD

We expound on how big our God is, but then belittle Him. We says we believe our God is big and nothing is impossible, but then we belittle Him because we’ve backed Him into a very small corner believing:

  1.  Healing is not for today;
  2. Women ministers are not allowed (I guess I’m in trouble);
  3. The five-fold ministry of apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher has been amputated to the three-fingered hand of God (evangelist, pastor and teacher) because we don’t believe in apostles and prophets.   (They are alive and well!)
  4. God doesn’t speak to people today.
  5. Tongues are not for today.

No wonder we think we must chase sin, because if we don’t believe God is working and the Holy Spirit is moving, we begin to become introspective – which never has a good outcome!!!  Isn’t this just where our enemy wants us to be – powerless, ignorant of our covenant with God, and deceived to think we are still sinners?

FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

I am a Pentecostal.  I am not only saved but filled with the Holy Spirit and I speak in tongues.  Yet, I have let myself be somewhat confined. Speaking in tongues is not just a box to check or a badge to wear that finally you don’t have to answer “that” altar call any more.  It’s a manifestation of the Holy Spirit that dwells within me.

Let’s look at a scripture regarding the manifestation of the Holy Spirit.  I divided them into three categories (revelation gifts, power gifts and utterance gifts).

” But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all.  For to one is given:

Revelation Gifts

the word of wisdom through the Spirit,

to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,

to another discerning of spirits,

Power Gifts

to another faith by the same Spirit,

to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,

to another the working of miracles,

Utterance Gifts

to another prophecy,

to another different kinds of tongues,

to another the interpretation of tongues.

But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. “    I Corinthians 12:7-11 NKJV

As stated earlier, I’m big on tongues!  BUT there are 8 other manifestations of the same Spirit. If it’s a manifestation of the Spirit, one manifestation should not be “harder” than another.

”as His divine power (dunamis) has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, “      II Peter 1:3 NKJV

This tells us God by His POWER has already (past tense) given us all things pertaining to life and godliness.

You probably have a pantry in your kitchen filled with groceries. You need to make a cake? You go to the pantry and take out the ingredients. They are already there. Imagine your spirit is like a “pantry”. The Holy Spirit dwells there. He has 9 things to give you, but you continuously only take out one item - tongues.

Too many times, we believe if God wanted us to _________ (fill in the blank), He would tell us or empower us.  You see other people moving by the Spirit, but it’s never happened with you.  Don’t “assume” they are more special than you. They are moving by the same Spirit that dwells in you.  When you hear someone give a prophetic word – desire to do that.  According to I Corinthians 12, we can all do that.   When you see someone else moving by the power of God – desire to do that.  Jesus said signs and wonders would follow those who believe in His name.  That sounds like all Christians to me!

How did you begin to speak in tongues?  Did the Holy Spirit come down and move your tongue or move your mouth?  No, you stepped out in faith to utter words you did not understand!  All the manifestations are activated by faith – not just the first time you do it. Every time I prophesy, I do it in faith. I do not KNOW if the words I’m about to speak over someone are true or not.  I’m moving by faith and trusting the Holy Spirit.

When you speak in tongues, put a “demand’ or an expectation on the Spirit. Sound too bold? We put a “demand” on the blood of Jesus when we received salvation, didn’t we? We can also put a “demand” on the Spirit!

Is this bold?  Aren’t we to be bold?  Didn’t the disciples pray for boldness?  Aren’t we told we can come “boldly” to the throne of grace?  If Jesus said He was sending the promise, can’t we take hold of that promise?

1,000,000,000 souls need us moving at full strength.

THE INVITATION

As you let the Spirit manifest in tongues (which you already do), believe for these other manifestations: (it’s the same faith you have to speak in tongues by the same Spirit who gives the manifestations)

Interpret the tongues you just spoke in - what were you saying?

Prophesy - what is the Spirit speaking forth?

Word of wisdom - what direction does He want to reveal to you?

Word of knowledge - what does He want to disclose?

Discerning of spirits - look around you, what spirits is He uncovering?

Faith - what do you believe beyond all proof? - “now” faith, something new or a fresh faith for something you may have long believed for.

Gifts of healing - lay hands on the sick or send the word of healing.

Working of miracles - you are an eternal being living out the earthly portion of your life on earth, you carry light in darkness, you carry peace in chaos, you have faith in the face of fear - what will you “allow” the Spirit to do through you?

“Demand” (believe afresh) for the Spirit to manifest.

Here’s a challenge:  start your own book of Acts and record how the Spirit manifests through you. Be sure to date the manifestations.

SELAH (pause and meditate on these things)

RAW

Sometimes you read or hear something that you just add to your Christian knowledge, but sometimes you read or hear something that changes you.  Jesus always made the statement, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”  He wasn’t talking about hearing with your ear flaps on the side of your head but hearing and perceiving with your spirit!  When you hear someone speaking or read a book from someone who writes from revelation, it plants revelation seeds in your own spirit.

Why do we believe that as long as we “control” something, we’re good?  For example, we have anger issues, but have “learned” to “control” the outbursts.  Don’t we recognize Jesus didn’t suffer and die just for out intellect and our flesh to control?  Jesus came to defeat and destroy the works of the enemy that we could be set free!!! The fact that I still have to control my anger shows there are roots in my soul that have not been pulled up and replaced with truth.

Every time there is a flare up (and when there is not) shows me that not only are  my actions wrong – it shows me my heart is not right. Didn’t Jesus say in Matthew 15:19:“For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness.”

My actions are wrong because of the roots in my heart!  All along we’ve been treating symptoms and not healing the problem!

I don’t want to just be in the presence of God – I want to bring and carry the presence wherever I go and into whatever situation I find myself.

It’s great that Christian people bring warm blankets, food and provide shelter for the homeless, but people without God can do that!  We are people of the Most High God.  He doesn’t have wisdom, love, and peace.  He IS wisdom, love, and peace!  Let’s seek Him – “God, what is the root of the homelessness? What systems are in place that facilitate, encourage and enlarge this issue?  What are the demonic roots driving people to seek (of course, not all) to live on the streets rather than be in relationships, have jobs and basically be secure – at least physically?”

Jesus astonished people because, “…He taught them as one having authority…” Matthew 7:29

Is this not us?  Do we not have authority?  From the very beginning, God created man to have dominion – not over each other, but over creation and every creeping thing.  Isn’t the demonic creepy?

Romans 8:19 in The Passion Translation says, “The entire universe is standing on tiptoe yearning to see the unveiling of God’s glorious sons and daughters!”

The KJV says “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.”

Are you manifesting?  Why do demons get to manifest and Christians don’t?

“…the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:  for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,  to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,  to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.”      I Corinthians 12:7-10 NKJV

Paul says the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one – that’s YOU and me!  Are we manifesting?

I’m weary of the professional Christians who tell us “It’s not for today.” or “It didn’t mean that.”  Our world is in a heap of trouble and too many have their rapture rugs all rolled up – not manifesting, just passive, waiting, waiting, waiting…

I have dethroned my intellect and enthroned the Spirit of the Living God in me!  My intellect will impede the moving of the Spirit in me.  In other words, the Spirit will have to get permission from my intellect to move!!!  Oh no, not anymore.  The Spirit of the Living God, the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in me, and it has all authority and power to move in and through me – however and whenever He wants.

What if in the 99th year of building the ark, Noah got tired and said it wasn’t worth it, threw down his tools and wandered into the perishing crowd?  What if Abraham had not left his country or what if he put Sarah away because she couldn’t have a child?  What if Daniel and the 3 Hebrew Children refused to use their Godly wisdom in their captivity?  What if Moses allowed his speech impediment to keep him from going before Pharoah? What if Joseph wasn’t touching the prophetic again because he ended up in slavery and prison the first time so he wouldn‘t interpret Pharoah’s dream?  All of these were in IMPOSSIBLE situations, but through them, God changed the course of mankind and nations.

Luke 1:37 says, “For with GOD nothing shall be impossible.”  Anything you face is a nothing with God!

“Let the faith of God be in you! Listen to the truth I speak to you; if someone says to this mountain with great faith and having no doubt, ‘Mountain be lifted up and thrown into the midst of the sea,’ and believes that what he says will happen, it will be done.”  Mark 11:22-23 TPT

ARE WE SPEAKING TO OUR MOUNTAINS? (this verse does not say we are to pray about our mountains – SELAH)

“This is the reason I urge you to boldly believe for whatever you ask for in prayer – be convinced that you have received it and it will be yours.”   Mark 11:24 TPT

Are we BOLDLY believing (not wishing) and are we CONVINCED we have already received our answer because we prayed?  We believe we receive when we pray, not when we see it. If we wait to believe we received it until we see it – WE ARE NOT BELIEVING!!  Faith is the substance and evidence of things NOT SEEN!

I’m convicted of thinking if I behave properly enough, then God will move! WORKS!  WORKS!  We are gaslighted.  We are told the kingdom is not in works, but then instructed to do works and then told what we are instructed to do is not works!  Our faith is our work!

Paul said, “For the kingdom realm of God comes with power, not simply impressive words.”  I Corinthians 4:20 TPT

I’m sorry too much of organized religion functions in the three-fingered hand of God, which is supposed to be the five-fold ministry.  You know, we all believe in evangelists, pastors and teachers, but the days of apostles and prophets are over. NOT!   Amos 3:7 says, “Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.”  Have we purposely put out our eyes and stuffed our ears (not believing in the prophets)?  If God speaks to prophets, but we don’t believe in them and therefore don’t give them a place to speak, how do we even know what God is doing?  (Prophets and apostles do exist today.)

What is our kingdom living like?  How am I manifesting?  What’s the level of power I manifest at?  There’s more!

Let’s pray:

Father, I hunger for YOU and Your way of doing things. I long for justice and true peace – not just lack of conflict!  You are powerful.  Your kingdom comes with power.  Forgive me for believing it is not for me today.  Forgive me for thinking I can manifest Your Spirit through the efforts of my flesh.  Forgive me for settling to live beneath my privileges and calling as your daughter. I relinquish servanthood and accept SONSHIP!  I dethrone my intellect and enthrone Your Spirit in me.

Holy Spirit, I long for you to manifest through me with power gifts - faith, gifts of healing, and working of miracles; revelatory gifts - words of wisdom, words of knowledge and discerning of spirits; and utterance gifts - tongues, interpretation of tongues and prophecy.

Thank You that You love us so!  I love You, too!  I’m not waiting on You coming to me.  I am coming after You!

“Then I remembered the worship songs I used to sing in the night seasons; and my heart began to fill again with thoughts of you.  So my spirit went out once more in search of you.”  Psalm 77:6 TPT

See yourself standing on a mountain, like a scenic overlook, looking at the valley before you. This is your 2024. It looks beautiful, vast and different. Some of the land is cultivated and will obviously yield harvest. Other parts of the valley look wild and overgrown. No visible roads or paths are seen. The valley has different colorings as different kinds of shrubs or trees grow there. A lot of the territory may be unknown, but then you also may know of giants who live there - court dates, deadlines, diagnoses, unresolved family issues, prodigal situations, tax season, etc. 2024 may loom over you and not look inviting at all! However! (Conjunctions are so important.) Let me give you some intel to arm you for this 2024 journey.

Remember the Children of Israel crossing over the Jordan River into the promised land? This is the same promised land that 40 years before the parents of this group of 60-year-olds and younger turned back in fear for the sake of these “children” who will now face what their parents would not. There were giants living there then so now there would be MORE giants. Can anyone do the math?

They are coming out of 40 years in the WILDERNESS (do not read this word to mean “picnic”). They are now going to cross over. Why should this place be any different? Why should this next battle be different than every other battle they fought these last 40 years? Because they were entering their promise. It was time for them to possess!

Was this promised land going to be continual days of ease and picnics? No, emphatically no! In fact, the day they entered the land, one of the things they had known for 40 years stopped - manna! God’s provision in that way was over. Now, as they possessed, the land was going to give up its harvests to them. This was what awaited them:

”For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, that flow out of valleys and hills; a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey; a land in which you will eat bread without scarcity, in which you will lack nothing; a land whose stones are iron and out of whose hills you can dig copper.“   Deuteronomy 8:7-9 NKJV

Wow! That sounds good even if you haven’t lived the last 40 years in a wilderness!

We want to live under open heavens and in open earth that yields harvest for the good seed that we (or even the wicked) have planted. (” A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.“ Proverbs 13:22 NKJV).

Yet, there was more to this promised land:

” …The people are greater and taller than we; the cities are great and fortified up to heaven; moreover, we have seen the sons of the Anakim there.”

Deuteronomy 1:28 NKJV

“Hear, O Israel: You are to cross over the Jordan today, and go in to dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourself, cities great and fortified up to heaven, a people great and tall, the descendants of the Anakim, whom you know, and of whom you heard it said, ‘Who can stand before the descendants of Anak?’  Deuteronomy 9:1-2 NKJV

The cities the Children of Israel were going to possess were fortified to the heavens. Did that mean the natural walls went up to the heavens? No, this meant there were demonic fortifications in place. Years ago, I read where the archaeologists excavating Jericho found the bones of children in the stones of the walls. The founders of Jericho had sacrificed their children to their gods for protection. (Can you see where abortion is so much more than a “woman’s rights” issue? For 50 years the law of our land was fortifying demonic spiritual fortifications over us!)

The walls of Jericho stood in place until the people of the LIVING GOD came! Yet, it wasn’t just that the children of the LIVING GOD came. It was that the Lord God had gone before them.

” Therefore, understand today that the Lord your God is He who goes over before you as a consuming fire. He will destroy them and bring them down before you; so you shall drive them out and destroy them quickly, as the Lord has said to you. “ Deuteronomy 9:3 NKJV

We are not unlike the Children of Israel entering the promised land.  Our God, through our Lord Jesus Christ, over 2,000 years ago, has gone before us into 2024!

” …The reason the Son of God was revealed was to undo and destroy the works of the devil. “ 1 John 3:8 TPT

” …that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, “ Hebrews 2:14 NKJV

” So, what does all this mean? If God has determined to stand with us, tell me, who then could ever stand against us?” Roman’s 8:31 TPT

“For God has proved his love by giving us his greatest treasure, the gift of his Son. And since God freely offered him up as the sacrifice for us all, he certainly won’t withhold from us anything else he has to give. “ Romans 8:32 TPT

God gave us the most precious thing to Him - Jesus! So why would He withhold anything else from us - provision, vision, healing, wholeness, direction, victory?

”Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and his demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything!“  Romans 8:37 TPT

He’s even equipped us for victory:

” …Be supernaturally infused with strength through your life-union with the Lord Jesus. Stand victorious with the force of his explosive power flowing in and through you.

Put on God’s complete set of armor provided for us, so that you will be protected as you fight against the evil strategies of the accuser!

Your hand-to-hand combat is not with human beings, but with the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms. For they are a powerful class of demon-gods and evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage. Because of this, you must wear all the armor that God provides so you’re protected as you confront the slanderer, for you are destined for all things and will rise victorious

Put on truth as a belt to strengthen you to stand in triumph

Put on holiness as the protective armor that covers your heart

Stand on your feet alert, then you’ll always be ready to share the blessings of peace. In every battle, take faith as your wrap-around shield, for it is able to extinguish the blazing arrows coming at you from the Evil One

Embrace the power of salvation’s full deliverance, like a helmet to protect your thoughts from lies.

And take the mighty razor-sharp Spirit-sword of the spoken Word of God…”

Ephesians 6:10-18 TPT

What about 2024? Is it just another year of life to face hardships and trek around in circles? No! Are there surprises? Yes! Are there giants (to us)? Yes, but God, our God, has gone before us. He has removed the enemy’s protection.

” Only do not rebel against the Lord, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the Lord is with us. Do not fear them. “  Numbers 14:9 NKJV

“…He will destroy them and bring them down before you; so you shall drive them out and destroy them quickly, as the Lord has said to you.“

Deuteronomy 9:3 NKJV

All we have to do, in the victory we’ve already been given through Jesus, is drive out the enemy and take them down! It’s time for our victory and possession freely given to us!

One last thing…

Feeling exhausted or wounded from these past years? Take communion (often).

” He also brought them out with silver and gold, And there was none feeble among His tribes.“. Psalms 105:37 NKJV

Because the children of Israel celebrated the Passover on the night before they left Egypt - putting the blood of lambs on their doorposts and eating the lamb and unleavened bread, when they left Egypt - everyone was whole. How much more are we strengthened and made whole when we partake of The Lamb, Jesus Christ!

2024 is not like any year you have previously faced! May you catch glimpses of God as He goes before you! May you possess! May you live under open heaven and open earth! May your giants flee seven ways! May harvest grow suddenly all around you – no matter how long you’ve waited!  May you taste victory after victory!

Welcome, 2024!

Happy New Year!

Another Party Saved

I was having another CHRISTmas party and had invited a few friends over. With everything ready, I started to sit down for a few minutes before everyone arrived when the doorbell rang. I couldn’t believe someone was 30 minutes early, but I put on a smile, trying to hide my frustration and opened the door. There was not one person standing there, but a group. Comparison, Pride, Discouragement and Distraction had all arrived together!

Comparison was holding a strange magnifying glass. It was large on one end and small on the other. As I looked through it, I realized the large magnifier made those around me look small, but I was huge. That’s when I realized Pride was talking about how great I was. He praised me for being better than anyone else in everything I did. I liked what he was saying and turned to follow him so I could hear more when I mysteriously tripped and fell.[1] Picking myself up, the magnifier turned over in my hand and now looking through the smaller magnifier, I could see how large and successful everyone else’s plans and accomplishments were next to my perceived meager ones.

Discouragement had a calendar and joined the discussion. He continually pointed to the calendar emphasizing the fact that others had accomplished more by this time than me. [2]

As my feelings began to nosedive, I was enveloped in the smoke of Distraction. For some reason, there was a haze around him, and he carried a mirror. All of a sudden, my feelings evened out and everything was A-OK. After all, que sera sera! Nothing seemed so important, and I wondered why I was bothered by the group. As I looked into Distraction’s shiny mirror, I took a turn in the opposite direction than I desired and ended up back in the group with Comparison, Pride and Discouragement.

I noticed the clock as the hands moved closer to midnight. A new year was almost here! Comparison pulled out his phone to show pictures from the last 12 months as Discouragement pointed to his calendar. Comparison then magnified the fact that nothing had changed from last year at this time until now. To add insult to injury, Discouragement pointed out the years on the calendar while Comparison magnified my age![3] Thank goodness the doorbell rang again, and I was able to excuse myself.

I opened the door to a solitary figure with a sack. He wore a red sweater with a huge, gaping hole in the front, shaped like the letter “L”. In unison, Comparison, Pride, Discouragement and Distraction yelled, “LACK”! as if he was the person who would complete this little soirée. I immediately noticed that hanging out of his sack was half of a Christmas wreath. In the blink of an eye, the wreath disappeared in the sack, but strangely the sack looked no fuller. As I closed the door, I caught a glimpse of my front door where my Christmas wreath - now missing - had been displayed. Before I could make a remark, Distraction called me informing me the party table and drinks were depleted.

Once in the kitchen to restock the table and refill the drinks, I watched this raucous group from the kitchen as they were wrecking my evening and my hopes for the new year. I never saw Deception walk right up to me (nor had I seen him come in with the group) and was startled when he began to tell me what a great gathering this was and how we should have them more often![4]

I heard the sliding glass door open as Jesus, Holy Spirit and Truth came in to the kitchen.  Deception took one look at Truth and disappeared for the rest of the evening. Truth reminded me this was my party, my house with my rules. Even though the group was still in the other room together, Jesus gave me an earpiece and told me He would direct me with the right words to say, which would disperse the group, causing them to leave.

Since Deception was nowhere to be seen, I looked at the rest of the group who suddenly looked like a pride of badly disguised lions roaming around my living room.[5] I homed in on Distraction. He started to open his mouth and ask me something, but then I heard Jesus in the earpiece telling me what to say and I began to speak.[6] Distraction was shocked that he couldn’t get a word in and turned toward the door.

With more purpose, I looked for my next victim. Lack was still carrying that crazy sack. I realized he was putting the silver from the table into his bag. Dumbfounded at his brazen theft, I loudly called to Holy Spirit.

“Holy Spirit, Lack is a thief and I not only want my stuff back, he will pay me 7 times what he’s taken!” [7]

I guess I haven’t described how powerful Holy Spirit is, but He grabbed Lack by the neck, turned his bag upside down and shook all my stuff out. I was shocked at all the stuff in the bag. There were things taken I had not even missed yet. Holy Spirit then forcefully commanded Lack to empty his wallet and repay me for the abuse of my hospitality.[8]

That’s when Discouragement started to cause a ruckus. He said I was a terrible host and said,

“No one will ever want to come to any of your parties again.”

He pointed out how my home was not decorated in the latest décor and how unwelcome he felt.  Looking at Holy Spirit and Truth, he stated he was “uncomfortable” in my home. Truth took one step forward and Discouragement literally fled out the door.

The last of the motley party goers was Pride. He had taken up residence on the sofa as if he thought he was safe and none of this sudden turn of events applied to him. Holy Spirit looked into my eyes and surprisingly convicted me of a friend I had offended.  Holy Spirit said,

“You need to make this right.”

“Now?” I asked.

“Yes and take Pride with you!” responded Holy Spirit.

Convicted, I turned to ask Pride to accompany me in my labor of love, but he quickly retorted,

“Is He talking about me? You can’t be serious.”

Looking at his watch, he stood up and ran out the door while mumbling,

“I know you are going to miss me when I’m gone.”

Relieved that my holiday pre-party was over, I prepared for my real guests to come. Then, Holy Spirit reminded me of something He gave me for Christmas. Before I reached for my phone to call my friend and make things right, I went to the garage and got Holy Spirit’s gift along with my tools. Right above the doorbell I hung the sign that said, “No Devouring Allowed”.

Another silly story? Maybe, but most of the time the enemy comes in undetected and steals, kills or destroys whatever he can get access to in our lives.

May the powerful Holy Spirit be manifest in your life in a greater way than you have ever known! May you be aware of His constant presence! May you have much harvest - suddenly (no matter how long you’ve waited!)

I HEAR YOU KNOCKING, BUT YOU CAN’T COME IN!

December 13, 2023

Imagine with me at this festive time of year that a “pop up” Christmas party happened at my house.  What unfolded was a fiasco, but it turned out for my good in the end (Romans 8:28)1

One night, there was a knock at my door and being the nice person I am, I innocently answered the door.  There stands Facts.  Facts is weird because he seems stiff and “set in stone”.  At first, I didn’t see Fear standing behind him.  They both were cold – almost seemingly frozen.

When they spoke, condensation clouds hung around their words like when you are outside on a cold, cold day. Surprised by them, they pushed past me and came into the living room.

Then, there was another knock at the door.

Thinking it strange, as my nights are usually quiet, I again opened the door. Memory greeted me.  She showed me pictures of my loved ones and relationships now gone.  It was sweet at first, but immediately I began to cry when I saw Grief and Sorrow coming up the walk.  Again, they pushed past me and just sat down anywhere they found a seat.

I hardly had time to wipe the tears from my eyes when I heard quick rapping.  As I opened the door, there, with a sly smile, was Regrets.  I recognized him readily as he calls me every day.  I also recognized his companion – Lies.  Lies was talking it up.  Regrets always listens with rapt attention and readily agrees with every statement Lies makes! The “fun” participants at this holiday partywere quickly filling the room.

It's not long before Loneliness shows up – alone.  As she came in, she didn’t seem to see anyone and sat alone in the corner.  She wouldn’t engage with anyone and shunned any interaction.   She certainly gave everyone the impression she wanted to be alone.

Heavy knocking on the door caused me to open the door to Depression.  Depression has a reputation for making the rounds with different companions. Tonight’s companion was Unanswered Prayer. In fact, Depression is enamored with Unanswered Prayer and follows him wherever he goes!  As if this party cannot get any less inviting, the final guests arrive.

With a loud thud and a push, Hopelessness came in the door with her husband, No Vision,in tow.  He couldn’t see, but was content to be led around by her.

As I looked around the room, I was overwhelmed by these uninvited guests who certainly made up a sour cast of characters. What I thought was going to be a nice, quiet evening turned into an emotion fest – and they were all bad emotions!  Not only that, all of them were also rude, talking at the same time, talking over one another and particularly loudly, in my ear!  I couldn’t get a word in at any time.  My head was spinning. I also realized they were not only rude, but wanted to be in control.  At least I had enough of my wits about me to know I didn’t want to be their servant.  (Romans6:16)2

Not knowing what else to do, I called to Jesus in the other room. I asked Him to arise and scatter these “frenemies”.  (Psalm 68:1)3  I knew they were more than I could deal with alone.

What a difference He made.  He had such an air of authority about Him. Somehow and unnoticed, each “guest” had dimmed the lights a little more as they came in, but Jesus noticed their ploy and commanded them to turn on the lights. (Genesis1:3)4

Next, He hugged me and said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”  (Hebrews13:5)5  Suddenly, I heard the front door slam.  As I looked around, I noticed Loneliness had just left. She didn’t even say goodbye, but then no one seemed to miss her.

As we walked around the room, Jesus guided me to Memory. He asked Memory to share a funny, vivid story.  What a relief that story brought. I felt strengthened and joyful. (Nehemiah8:10)6

I can only say it was like oil of joy poured over me and I felt beautiful – cleansed of the ashes that had gathered around me. (Isaiah61:3)7

He looked at Sorrow and Grief and said to me, “I’m acquainted with these guys.”  He easily picked them both up at the same time and carried Sorrow and Grief out the door saying, “Not a problem. I’ve done this before.”  (Isaiah53:4)8

As Jesus came back in the door, Unanswered Prayer stopped in mid-sentence as Jesus made this one statement: “The fervent prayers Debbie has made have been effective and have availed much for her.”  (James 5:16)9  As Unanswered Prayer loped off down the sidewalk, everyone was shocked when another person appeared at the door. Had another nefarious person shown up late to this yuletide fest? As a matter of fact, it was Answered Prayer who wasn’t late at all.  She showed up at the exact, right moment.

Suddenly, Holy Spirit came in and we heard a lilting voice.  We turned to see Him and Vision coming in through the back door to surprise us all!  Vision brought a book filled with beautiful pictures for the future entitled , ‘Nothing is Impossible’!  (Mark 1:37)10

I must admit I have never seen such wonderful sights. It’s almost as if I could see myself right in the middle of the pictures in the book!  (Proverbs 29:18 TPT)11  We looked around to see Hopelessness guiding No Vision out the door.

Now that Holy Spirit was here, He walked directly over to Lies. Holy Spirit’s phone rang and He handed the phone to Lies. Truth was calling in and Lies sheepishly listened to what Truth had to say.  (John 16:13)12  Lies told Regrets it was time to leave, but they left separately.

The whole dynamic of the party was shifting. Frenemies had been replaced with very, close loving friends, but there were still a couple that needed to be shown the door.

After Lies hung up the phone from Truth, Truth called back in and asked to speak with Facts.  After a few minutes, Facts no longer had the look of “set in stone” but looked sort of “crumpled”.  I looked again and it appeared Facts was finally hearing what Truth had to sayand he knew he could never captivate me again! (John 8:32)13  Fear was beginning to look around very nervously – as if he was afraid of something.  In fact, Jesus told him to hit the road. (I John 4:18)14

Thankfully, all the unwelcome guests were gone, or so I thought. I heard a sound in one of the other rooms.  As I entered the room, Depression had opened a window and was excitedly calling Lies, Fear, and Hopelessness to return! It turned out that when I opened the door to Depression and Unanswered Prayer, Depression thought it was an invitation to move in even after Answered Prayer had arrived and Unanswered Prayer left!  Depression was stubborn and made it look like he was a formidable mountain, but at this point, there was no doubt in my heart that none of them had a place. I told Depression to leave and not come back. Do you know what?  I got what I said!!! (Mark 11:23)15

Moral of the story? There’s a little faith peephole in your door.  Look through it before you answer the door the next time. When you see another “pop up” party in the works, just keep saying out loud and loudly, “I hear you knocking, but you can’t come in!

Not One Harvest Will Be Lost

In 2 Kings 4, we read the story of Elisha and the Shunammite woman.  Elisha prophesied she would have a son, and she did. Later, the son died and Elisha raised him from the dead. Sometime later, Elisha tells her to leave the country because a seven-year famine is coming. At the end of the seven years, she comes back and comes to the king to have her lands and home returned. (2 Kings 8)  Remember, inheritance is crucially important as her ancestors took the promised lands God gave them and passed them down from generation to generation. What was the king’s response?

“…So the king appointed a certain officer for her, saying, “Restore all that was hers, and all the proceeds of the field from the day that she left the land until now.””     II Kings 8:6 NKJV

She not only got her land and home back, but ALL the profits made by those who had the land for seven years!

What does that mean for us? I believe God is a bait caster.  Remember the story of Moses seeing the burning bush which caused him to turn aside?  God was casting bait.  Would Moses bite?  Yes, He did. Jesus told the disciples to go out, but if they were not received to brush the dust off their feet and go somewhere else. In other words, if the fish are not taking the bait (healing, casting out demons, raising the dead, cleansing the lepers and other miracles), then go to the next fishing hole (village).  God casts bait by doing and saying things to get our attention with an invitation to believe.  If we can believe, we spend our faith for it! Faith is the currency of heaven.

When I read the story of the Shunammite woman and what the king did for her – by the favor of God – then I can believe if He did it for her, He can do the same for me.

Is this easy?  Oh no! The devil always wants to offer us physical “proof” that we don’t and won’t have what God said or the impossible that He can do, but we don’t live by physical proof, we walk by faith, seeing it in the spirit.  We do not walk by the sight of the proof.  We must see life through the lens of the Bible, not see the Bible through the lens of life!

“In spite of being nearly one hundred years old when the promise of having a son was made, his faith was so strong that it could not be undermined by the fact that he and Sarah were incapable of conceiving a child.”   Romans 4:19 TPT

So what are some of the things God tells me (casts bait) that He has for me? Will I take the bait?

Open earth - “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater,”   Isaiah 55:10 NKJV

Open heaven - “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.”    Malachi 3:10 NKJV

Time - “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.”   Joel 2:25 NKJV

I believe God not only restores the things we’ve lost, but this verse clearly shows He restores time!

Look at what God’s idea of following Him will look like.  These blessings will not just come to us, but will overtake us!

  1. the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:
  2. Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country.
  3. Blessed shall be the fruit of your body (children), the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks (whatever our hands do prospers)
  4. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.
  5. Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.
  6. The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.
  7. The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses (I must have more than enough to have a storehouse) and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
  8. The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways.
  9. Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you.
  10. And the Lord will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground (open earth), in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you.
  11. The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season (open heaven), and to bless all the work of your hand.
  12. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.
  13. And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail;
  14. you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them”.      Deuteronomy 28:1-13 NKJV

“Yes indeed, it won’t be long now.” God’s Decree. “Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills. I’ll make everything right again for my people Israel: “They’ll rebuild their ruined cities. They’ll plant vineyards and drink good wine. They’ll work their gardens and eat fresh vegetables. And I’ll plant them, plant them on their own land. They’ll never again be uprooted from the land I’ve given them.” God, your God, says so.”    Amos 9:13-15 MSG

Because of the rain received in California this year, they experienced a “superbloom”.  When the flowers came out in the spring, they were over abundant.  The lakes were filled from the rain. Rivers that had become creeks burgeoned and abundantly refilled their dry riverbeds. These are signs for us!

No matter what you have been believing and waiting for…no matter how long it’s been….no matter if you’ve never seen it or it’s past the time it “should have” or “could have” happened…NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD!

More good news: I believe we are entering a burgeoning, fruitful season NOW.

Even more good news: if I haven’t taken the bait or I have lost faith at times, then I get back up again.  The truth is that I will miss it.  I will have times of doubt, but our faith is not in our faithfulness, but His!

“If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.”

II Timothy 2:13

By Faith They Lived and Died

“Faith pulled down Jericho’s walls after the people marched around them for seven days!
Faith provided a way of escape for Rahab the prostitute, avoiding the destruction of the unbelievers, because she received the Hebrew spies in peace.

And what more could I say to convince you?
For there is not enough time to tell you of the faith of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and the prophets.
Through faith’s power they conquered kingdoms and established true justice. Their faith fastened onto their promises and pulled them into reality!

It was faith that shut the mouth of lions, put out the power of raging fire, and caused many to escape certain death by the sword.
Although weak, their faith imparted power to make them strong!

Faith sparked courage within them and they became mighty warriors in battle, pulling armies from another realm into battle array.

Faith-filled women saw their dead children raised in resurrection power.
Yet it was faith that enabled others to endure great atrocities.

They were stretched out on the wheel and tortured, and didn’t deny their faith in order to be freed, because they longed for a more honorable and glorious resurrection! Others were mocked and experienced the most severe beating with whips; they were in chains and imprisoned.
Some of these faith champions were brutally killed by stoning, being sawn in two or slaughtered by the sword.

These lived in faith as they went about wearing goatskins and sheepskins for clothing.
They lost everything they possessed, they endured great afflictions, and they were cruelly mistreated.

They wandered the earth living in the desert wilderness, in caves, on barren mountains and in holes in the earth. Truly, the world was not even worthy of them, not realizing who they were.

These were the true heroes, commended for their faith, yet they lived in hope without receiving the fullness of what was promised them.

But now God has invited us to live in something better than what they had—faith’s fullness! This is so that they could be brought to finished perfection alongside of us.”

Caleb Makes an Appeal

November

2023

Caleb makes an appeal to Joshua after the wars to capture the land of Promise…

Joshua 14:10-13 MEV

“Now, the LORD has kept me alive, just as He said, for forty-five years, since the LORD spoke this word to Moses while Israel wandered in the wilderness.

Now, here I am this day, eighty-five years old. I AM STILL JUST AS STRONG TODAY AS I WAS ON THE DAY MOSES SENT ME (to spy on the land). MY STRENGTH NOW IS JUST LIKE MY STRENGTH THEN, both for battle and for going out and returning.

SO NOW, GIVE ME THIS HILL CONTRY THAT THE LORD SPOKE ABOUT ON THAT DAY. That day you heard that the Anakites live there in large, fortified cities. Perhaps the LORD will be with me, and I will drive them out, AS THE LORD SAID."

Then Joshua blessed him and gave Hebron to Caleb son of Jephunneh as an inheritance.

Since the day that Caleb came back from spying out the land with a good report, he had walked through the wilderness for the last 38 years, then through all of the war campaigns to take the land of Promise. 45 years of waiting for this day…the day he would claim his promised land, and he was just as strong this day as he has been for the last 45 years, because God was with him.

Many of us have walked through the wilderness and through the campaigns of faith to win victories over the enemy. By faith we were saved and by faith we have lived. And now, this day, this is the day of salvation, this is the day of victory. We don’t walk in our own physical strength; we didn’t gain victories in the past by our own strength. We gained victories and triumph the same way we gained salvation, by faith in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! It is by faith in the promises of God that we stand strong and refuse to yield to defeat. Great is our God and great is the victory of his Son, Jesus Christ, on the cross and in his resurrection!

The promise of God that Moses made to Caleb burned in his heart and in his spirit for 45 years. Forty-five years of two steps forward and one step back. 45 years of going around the mountain one more time. 45 years of digging a ditch and filling it up. But the day of promise finally came, suddenly it was right there in front of him, and he claimed that promise! On that day the hill country he had dreamed about and had desired was now his possession! Caleb's strength wasn’t just his physical strength for battle after all those years of wandering, no, his treaty was his faith in the promise of the man of God. His strength was dreaming about it, mulling it over as he walked through the wilderness, speaking out loud to himself over and over…his strength was in his faith. He believed God was well able to do, to perform what he had promised.

Our strength today is the same as Caleb's, the same as the day we received the Lord Jesus Christ by believing the Good News…the Promise of God! It is not by our might or by our power, it is by His Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus that we have the victory!

Do we even know what the promises of God are? Do we think about them or mull them over while we work, or when we are driving, or when we are alone? Is there a stubbornness and determination in our spirits that we will have those promises, no matter what we have to endure or how long it takes? Is there anything in us that declares “give me my mountain”?

The time is now. The day is now. Believe. Believe. Believe.

2 Corinthians 6:2 MEV

For He says: "In an acceptable time I have listened to you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you." Look, NOW IS THE ACCEPTABLE TIME; look, NOW IS THE DAY of salvation.

John 11:40 MEV

Jesus said to her, "Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?"

Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your household!

Random Acts of Faith!

Debbie Brewer

November 20, 2023

I have a group that meets on Saturdays called The Hub.  The Hub is not a prayer meeting – although we pray.  It is not a Bible study – although we study the Bible.  It is an equipping, challenging meeting to draw us into being Christian participants in our meetings and our culture, not just spectators.

Last year around Thanksgiving, we decided we would participate in “Friendsgiving” around Thanksgiving 2023.  We wanted to bless a server at a local restaurant.  We prayed about where we would go.  We prayed for the server the Lord wanted us to bless.  Every week at The Hub we contributed to the fund.  On Saturday, November 18, we visited a local Mom and Pop restaurant for brunch.  I thought this would be a good time as it is the Saturday before black Friday when many people do their Christmas shopping.  Kelly was our server.  Sweet young lady.  We were excited to bless Kelly.   We knew what was coming.   She was just having a “normal” day.

After we were served and she brought our check, we gave her a card that we had all signed. The card had a note inside explaining what we were doing.  I also told her verbally what was going on.  We gave her a cash tip for $1101!!!!  (Yes, that says eleven hundred one dollars!)  She was stunned.  She repeated, “No….no….no…” and then bent over a chair.  I thought her legs were going to buckle under her. She shared that she had only worked this job for a couple of months.  It’s a second job on the weekends for her.

Do you think this was a random act of kindness?

Not at all.  It was personally directed.  We prayed for the restaurant. God directed us to the restaurant.  We prayed for the server God wanted to bless.  God brought the server-even though she wasn’t even serving at the time we began to pray.  This was not random at all, but purposeful.  Directed. Intentional.

Do you think the results of your faith are like that – random?

We might get that impression from “religious” teaching we’ve had. Have you ever heard someone say, “God is sovereign.” (Meaning He can do what He wants). That’s not sovereignty that’s being rogue. God is not rogue.  He  performs His word.

What about the statement, “You never know what God is going to do.” Oh, yes we do - He’s faithful, merciful, kind and good.

It’s true Jesus did not heal everyone in Israel when He walked the earth – but He did heal everyone who came to Him.  In fact, He never turned anyone down!!!!  The only place Jesus was limited was in His own hometown where people were offended at Him and had so much unbelief Jesus marveled at it. (Mark 6:3-6)  Think on that – their unbelief and offense kept Jesus, the up front and personal Son of God,  from doing any mighty miracles.

Are you a believing believer or an unbelieving believer?

Do we allow things like colds and the flu to run their course – not understanding that Jesus was striped for those sicknesses?  Why don’t we use our faith to stop those colds and flu?  They don’t need to run their course.  They don’t need to go from family member to family member.  The thief wants to turn that cold or flu into pneumonia and kill us!  We better raise our shields of faith and rebuff those sicknesses!

Faith is not random at all.  In fact, faith is active and full of action in the spirit, which brings forth results in the natural.  Look what Hebrews 11 (the “Faith” chapter) tells us about faith – out of The Passion translation:

Faith brings

Faith becomes

Faith is all the evidence required

Faith empowers

Faith moves

Faith causes

Faith translates

Faith lives

Faith opens

Faith motivates

Faith embraces

Faith has authority

Faith goes beyond our lifetime

Faith operates powerfully

Faith makes God’s supernatural promises and actions seem logical

Faith has power

Faith is reality

Faith inspires

Faith prompts

Faith enables

Faith has certainty

Faith stirs

Faith opens

Faith pulls down

Faith provides

Faith’s power conquers

Faith fastened onto promises pulls them into reality

Faith shuts the mouth of lions

Faith puts out the power of raging fire

Faith imparts

Faith sparks courage

Faith causes us to become mighty warriors in battle

Faith pulls armies from another realm into battle array

God’s invitation to us is to live in faith’s fullness!

Does any of that seem random to you?  Isn’t the faith talked about in Hebrews 11 directed, pointed, active, answered, and successful?

If you have faith like this, your confession could be:

“If anyone gets healed today, it’s going to be me!”

“If anyone gets delivered today, it’s going to be me!”

“If anyone is prospered today, it’s going to be me!”

Do those statements seem bold and brash? Do those statements seem  random?

No.  It sounds like Jesus to me….”This is the reason I urge you to boldly believe for whatever you ask for in prayer—be convinced that you have received it and it will be yours.”     Mark 11:24 TPT

What happens if I boldly believe and it doesn’t happen today?

Let me ask you this. What if you wanted to have a baby? Would you have the baby today? No. In fact, let me tell you what you’ll get.

First, the seed is planted, but there is no sign and no “proof”. Yet, the baby is growing. Then, you might get sick – every day for three months. Do you want sickness? No, you want a baby. Sickness is sometimes part of the process.

Then you start to outgrow your clothes. You begin to feel kicking to your gut. All you wanted was a baby.  You asked for a baby.  You believed for a baby, but still no baby in your arms, but this is all part of the process.

You can’t tie your shoes or cut your toenails. At the end of this process, you can’t even sit up in bed, you have to roll out of bed. Next comes pain - sometimes for hours. All for this baby you can’t even see. Are you sure it’s a baby?  My belly doesn’t look like a baby.  My belly doesn’t sound like a baby, but hidden in that “mass” of your belly is the answer to your desire!

THEN you hold the baby.  It’s the greatest joy you’ve ever had from the greatest labor you’ve ever done. The fulfillment of your faith is in your arms. None of the things you went through were the proof of “no baby”, but were in fact, proof of a baby coming into reality.

Take the grain of mustard seed God gave you and grow it –

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”      Romans 10:17

Remember,

“with God all things are possible.”  Matthew 19:26

“For with God nothing will be impossible.”   Luke 1:37

"For allt he  promises  of  God  in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.”

II Corinthians 1:20

“Let the faith of God be in you! Listen to the truth I [Jesus] speak to you: if someone says to this mountain with great faith and having no doubt, ‘Mountain, be lifted up and thrown into the midst of the sea,’ and believes that what He says will happen, it will be done.  This is the reason I urge you to boldly believe for whatever you ask for in prayer – be convinced that you have received it and it will be yours.”

 Mark 11:23-24 (TPT)

Put your directed faith to work and let it bring, become, empower, operate powerfully, prompt, enable, open, stir, conquer…

I Have No Vision

November 14,  2023

Have you ever said that?  I know I have.  This is a dangerous place to be. Proverbs tells us,

“Where there is no vision, the people perish…” Proverbs 29:18 KJV

The truth is “no vision” is a vision.  The “no-vision” vision is dark, void and without form.  Hmmmm, doesn’t that sound familiar?

“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.”  Genesis 1:2 KJV

Doesn’t that sound like a vision the thief would create to steal, kill and destroy us?  A “no-vision” vision.  He wants us to perish.

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy...”   John 10:10 NKJV

What did God do when there was no vision?  He cast a vision that became reality.

LET THERE BE LIGHT!”    Genesis 1:3

The truth is God is always casting vision.  Do we have eyes to see, ears to hear and hearts to believe?

God took Abraham and showed him the stars in the sky and said his descendants would be that numerous.

What is the vision God shows us?  His word paints a picture or a vision.  First, He separates Himself from the thief:

“…I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.  John 10:10 NKJV

He didn’t come just to give us life, but MORE ABUNDANT life!  Then He told us in His word, His vision and His will for us!

What is God’s vision for us?  He wants us to:

Be Wise  – He gives wisdom liberally (abundantly) James 1:5

Have long life – Psalm 91:16

Have eternal life – John 3:16

Have all our needs met – Philippians 4:19

Have our desires fulfilled  – Psalm 37:4

Be blessed, not cursed  – Jesus became a curse for us – Galatians 3:13

Have no griefs or sorrows -Isaiah 53:4

Be healed – Isaiah 53:5

Be forgiven – Isaiah 53:5

Be iniquity free – Isaiah 53:5

Have peace – Isaiah 53:5

If that’s not enough, NO THING that we want or need is out of His league:

”For with God nothing will be impossible.”  Luke 1:37

Nothing.  No thing is impossible.  That means zero, naught, aught, nil, zip, nought, zilch, or goose egg is impossible with God.

I have recently bought Invisalign braces and have about 11 months to correct some crooked teeth.  The “braces” have bumps on them that make room for the “attachments” on my teeth, which move my teeth.  I have to change them out every two weeks.  I have had my teeth for many decades.  Yet, now that I have had these “braces” on my teeth since July, I can’t remember my teeth being smooth and not having bumps on them.  I’m going somewhere with this…

I can be nerdy sometimes.  I’ve done some figuring.

There are

24 hrs/day; 168 hrs/week; 8,736 hrs/year.

That breaks down to

1440 minutes/day, 10,080 minutes/week; and 524,160 minutes/year

Even further breaking it down, it comes to

86,400 sec/day, 604,800 sec/week, and 31,449,609 sec/year

Let’s be generous and say you get 7 hours of sleep a night (don’t we all wish)!  Now it figures like this:

17 hrs/day; 119 hrs/week and 6,188 hrs/yr

1020 min/day; 7140 min/week; and 371,280 min/year

61,200 sec/day; 428,400 sec/week; and 22,276,800 sec/year

What’s the point of all those calculations?  We are thinking and meditating on something all that time.  What vision are we meditating upon?  Remember my braces – decades of one truth (smooth teeth), have been replaced with four months of “bumpy” teeth.  Every time my tongue runs over my teeth – it re-enforces “bumpy” teeth.  Every time I clench my jaw – it re-enforces “bumpy” teeth.

What is the thief showing you and what vision is he re-enforcing to you all the time?  Sickness?  Poverty?  Depression?  Loneliness? Fear of the future?  Old age?

Don’t meditate on the “no-vision” vision.  Agree with God’s vision.  Bring light into the thief’s vision of darkness, chaos and voidness.  See yourself wise, healed, whole, abundant, joyful, blessed, etc. etc, etc.

“Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this.  He will achieve INFINITELY MORE than your GREATEST REQUEST, your MOST UNBELIEVABLE DREAM, and EXCEED your WILDEST IMAGINATION!  He will OUTDO THEM ALL, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.”  Ephesians 3:19 (TPT)

In Genesis, when God created, He made creation after their kind.  The trees were made after their kind.  The herb was made after its kind.  The sea creatures and the birds were made after their kind.  The cattle, creeping things and beasts of the earth were made after their kind.  Then, God made man after Him.  We are the Godkind!  SELAH (meditate on this)!

You are the Godkind – open your mouth and speak what you want, not what you see.

Cast your vision!

Are You A Three-Striker?

7
November
2023

In II Kings, we have the last recorded actions of Elisha before he dies. He is talking with the king of Israel about defeating the enemy:

“Then he (Elisha) said, “Take the arrows”; so he took them. And he said to the king of Israel, “Strike the ground”; so he struck three times, and stopped. And the man of God was angry with him, and said, “You should have struck five or six times; then you would have struck Syria till you had destroyed it! But now you will strike Syria only three times.””     II Kings 13:18-19 NKJV

Are we a three-striker? Do we have rules of engagement with the enemy? Are we okay to win this little scuffle, but don’t believe we can win the war?  Are we shortsighted to win just this one instance?

For example, we have a need, and ask God for just enough to meet that need. What about asking for our immediate need to be met so abundantly that we are taken care of for the rest of our lives (remember the four lepers outside Samaria)?  We are so “paycheck-to-paycheck” minded that we think kingdom living is the same - crisis to crisis – not glory to glory!  SELAH (Think about that!)

What about being sick? Do we want to just get well now or can we believe for everyone suffering with that sickness to be healed? Do we not only get well, but send that sickness packing so no one else in our family, work, church, area or even the world gets it?

Do we really believe we are victors and overcomers?  OR do we erroneously think we just say it because we are never supposed to see it because we live by faith (you know, we live by faith not by sight!)

I do not believe that.  I believe God wants us to be blessed.  It’s His will that none should perish.

Let’s look at what Peter said:

“The Lord is not slack concerning Hs promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”                                        II Peter 3:9

Let’s be geeky here a minute and look at a definition from Strong’s Concordance of the Bible.  In this passage, “perish” is apollumi (a-paw-loo-mee) in the Greek.  It means to destroy fully, (reflexively to perish or lose) literally or figuratively – destroy, die, lose, mar or perish.

“Perish” here isn’t only attributed to eternal life.  Anything that destroys or causes death, or loss or mars something is a form of perishing.  Then doesn’t that mean that besides death, loss is a form of perishing?  Poverty is a form of perishing?  Sickness is a form of perishing?  Lack of vision or purpose is a form of perishing?

Further, let’s agree that when it says “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” – this isn’t always about sin!  Repentance is about a change of mind and/or direction. With that in mind, let’s re-read this scripture:

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us not willing that any should perish (suffer destruction, be destroyed, die, suffer loss or marring), but that all should come to repentance (a change of mind or direction).”                         II Peter 3:9 (emphasis mine)

So if we are going to be victorious, if we believe God has good things for us, what is His will?  Let’s look at Deuteronomy 28:1-14 with our own eyes.  This is what is God’s will for us: (let me condense):

God will set us high about all nations of the earth

All these blessings shall come upon us and overtake us

Everywhere I go, I will be blessed

My children are blessed

My job is blessed, as well as my investments, and my savings

I am blessed coming in and going out

My enemies may come against me one way, but they will flee seven ways

The Lord will command the blessing on me in my storehouses and everything I do in everything and everywhere the Lord takes me

The Lord will establish me as a holy people

The peoples of the earth shall see His hand on me and be afraid of me

He will give me plenty of goods. He will bless my children and give me open earth for all my sowing to bring forth abundantly.

The Lord will open His good treasure – open heavens.  I will lend to many nations and not have to borrow.

The Lord will make me the head and not the tail – I will be above only

If I heed the commandments of the Lord and do not serve other gods!

Isn’t this incredible?  Well actually, it is very credible!

How does the enemy steal from us?  Distraction.  We are so busy, stressed and we run from one chaotic situation to another.

The enemy lies to us.  This specifically tells us we have to heed the commandments of the Lord.  We negate these promises from us by believing the accuser of the brethren who always tells us we’ve “sinned”, or we’ve “missed it”. We should repent when the Holy Spirit convicts us, but not just because our enemy condemns us.

At The Hub on Saturday, I served orange cranberry muffins.  The aroma of these freshly baked muffins hit you when you walked in the door.

Then I served the muffins as we talked about the good things and the will of God from Deuteronomy 28:1-14.  Associate God’s will with pleasant things; with things that make you salivate!

I’m sure you are familiar with this passage:

“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”)”   Galatians 3:13 NKJV

So what is the curse of the law from which Jesus has redeemed us? The rest of Deuteronomy 28 (verses 15-68), gives us the curses of the law!  53 verses of curses!!!  Take the time to read them.

This is where I passed around shrimp shells left over from dinner the night before. The stench of the shells after being in the garbage overnight was awful.

I did this so you could associate this stench with the curses.  This is not what God wants our life to look like or smell like.

These blessings are the will of God for us.  We need to change our prayers.  Don’t pray – “not my will, but thine be done.” Pray what Jesus taught the disciples to pray, “thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”  Is there sickness in heaven? (NO)  Is there poverty in heaven? (NO)

“…because as He is, so are we in this world.” I John 4:17 NKJV

I don’t say “wait and see what the Lord will do!” This is passive. I say “I’m going to taste and see what the Lord is doing.  This is engaged, active,  scriptural and full of faith.

Remember, Jesus kept the law for us. It’s about us believing that it’s a inished work and we put a demand on it - we don’t wait on it.

Putting a demand?  Yes! When you go to the ATM machine and put your card in the slot, you are putting a demand on the bank to release the funds from your account.  We apply our faith (the currency of heaven) to withdraw from any of the blessings that we know are God’s will for us.

The seeing is not what makes us believe. It’s our believing it and putting a demand on it that makes us see it! I’m not saying it won’t take time and patience, but the result is expected - whether short or long in coming.

We have two realities in front of us.

One smells, is rotten, broken, sick and poor.

The other is fragrant, fresh, whole, healed and abundant.

Which will we choose?

Wait, it’s not that easy. Not only does the devil tell me the smelly, rotten, broken, sick and poor life is for me - most Christians will tell you that this is God’s will for us and they live there, too!

Is the fragrant, fresh, whole, healed, abundant life ours or just too good to be true?

Let me ask you a question - How do you know you are saved?

Here’s one scripture:

“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 NKJV

If that’s you, do you expect to be in hell?  Of course not!  All of the other promises of God are just that sure!  It’s not for when we die and go to heaven - we’ve already died.  We can have it here.  “His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

I’m not interested in Christian theory. I’m not interested in religion that won’t let me speak the promises of God now because it’s all for the sweet by and by!

Here’s your assignment:   This week get scripture to support why you believe God will do for you or give you what you need, want and desire. Here’s a cheat tip: ask the Holy Spirit to help you!

Don’t be a three-striker!  Be the blessed, victorious overcomer He wants you to be!

Love you Home Run Hitting Warriors!!!

Questions

Good morning, Warriors!

Let me tell you up front this is a long and deep teaching. You may need to read it in sections. It’s more important that you receive revelation as you read through it rather than just a speed reading of it, giving it a cursory glance.

I have some tough questions today.

     1. Have we been groomed with a Job or Naomi kind of Christianity?

First of all, do you know what grooming means? I mean have we been manipulated or conditioned. What is Job or Naomi Christianity? Let’s look at some scriptures:

“And he (Job) said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked shall I return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.”” Job 1:21 NKJV

There was a “Christian” popular chorus sung several years ago that had the phrase “He gives and takes away”. I couldn’t sing those words. I changed the words to He gives and gives again. God didn’t take from Job. The book of Job clearly tells us it was the devil.

In the book of Ruth, we have the story of Naomi, Ruth’s mother-in-law. Here is Naomi’s “testimony” and belief:

“Do not call me Naomi; (the lovable; my delight; sweet, pleasant) call me Mara (bitter, sad) for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me. I went out full, and the Lord has brought me home again empty. Why do you call me Naomi, since the Lord has testified against me, and the Almighty has afflicted me?””

Ruth 1:20-21 NKJV

Now to be fair, people in the Old Testament had no concept of the devil, but we are not in the Old Testament. We definitely have a concept of the devil and unfortunately sometimes our belief is that he’s bigger than our belief in God and we believe his threats more real than God’s promises (covenant). SELAH (meditate upon that)

Do you remember the movie from the early 70’s called “Love Story”? It’s famous line (or lie) was “love means never having to say you are sorry”. Stephen Stills wrote a song, “Love the One You’re With”. Hogwash! This was grooming us for the “free love and sex” movement.

Can you see how taking a Job or Naomi kind of Christianity grooms us to believe God takes and He causes suffering and harm?

      2. Have we become so “normalized” to gaslighting that we think God gaslights?

What is gaslighting? A simple explanation is saying one thing, and doing another. Yet, this is no “simple” mis-speaking or lying. This is predatory, manipulative, psychological actions toward a desired end - control and victimization.

For example, the government gaslights. They report the economy is fine while food/gas/housing prices/inflation and everything skyrockets. The gaslight is “there is no out-of-control inflation. What you are experiencing is just your imagination.” In other words, your truth is a lie.

Here’s another example: Someone tells you they love you while they abuse you. Gaslighting skews us. It jades us. It defines and redefines us. When I was growing up, my mother never allowed my brother and I to call each other names. Children growing up in a name-calling environment believe love is hurtful, not comforting, nourishing and protective. Those children grow into parents who, then, treat their children like that - believing it’s a “loving” environment. The grooming prepares us for the gaslighting while the gaslighting enables the grooming. Convoluted. Chaotic. The bottom line? It’s demonic.

       3. Do we think God gas lights?

What that’s crazy! How could I ask such a question?

Let’s look at a few scriptures and see where we may think God gas lights:

“For with God nothing will be impossible.” Luke 1:37 NKJV

But my situation never changes! IT’S NORMAL for things not to go well for me.

Isaiah 53:4-6

“Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; - but ITS NORMAL for me to be sad.

He was wounded for our transgressions - YES I’M SAVED - because that is the one truth preached and accepted as Christianity over and over and over. Of course, we question all the time whether the FINISHED work of the cross holds and is strong!

He was bruised for our iniquities - my whole family line acts like this. IT’S NORMAL.

The chastisement for our peace was upon Him - I’m so anxious. We are always fighting in our home/relationships. IT’S NORMAL

And by His stripes we are healed - I have this (disease), everyone in my family has it. IT’S NORMAL

What if you, a Christian, died and woke up in hell? Wouldn’t you say “Hey! Wait a minute, God! I believed I was saved. God, You said Jesus died on the cross for me so I wouldn’t come to hell. Why am I here?” So, if you adamantly believe that - then why can’t you adamantly believe for peace, joy, being iniquity free, and healing, which Jesus bought the same time He died for our sins? If we can believe that, then why can’t we also believe I don’t have to be poor because Jesus became poor? I am not cursed because Jesus was cursed for me. I can live a long life because Jesus paid the price by living a short life. I can have a full life because Jesus bought my fullness by living a “solitary” life. I’m accepted by God because Jesus was forsaken on the cross! SELAH

If God didn’t mean it, He should not have said it. If Jesus didn’t mean for me to have it, why did He suffer so?

     4. Are we brainwashed? When brain washing is completed you don’t believe the truth when you see it. How are we brainwashed? Gods’s promises are myriad. He tells us those promises are yes and amen, but we live with unanswered prayers, unmet needs and defeat after defeat. I’ve been brainwashed to think that’s what a Christian life is. I think I’m “suffering” for Jesus when it’s the work of the enemy! I’ve been brainwashed to stay a “servant” of God never moving into relationship. Jesus said, “No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does NOT KNOW what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.” John 15:15 NKJV

Relationship is where I can go to God and ask questions and share my disappointment, heartache and devastation. If I believe like a job or Naomi I think “the Lord gives and the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord”! Let me give you an example. Let’s say your local bank offers $300 to anyone opening a new account. So you open a new account. The $300 never shows up. What’s your response? Do you scoff it off saying, “I never believed them anyway. I never expected them to do that for me.” Or, do you go to the bank and say, “Where’s my money?” Because you believed what they offered, you took them up on it. See the difference ? You don’t believe - you don’t question. You believe - you question when results don’t match the promise!

     5. Do we have discernment? Do we know the difference between a) depletion and emptying? The thief steals, kills and destroys. God empties us so He can refill us to overflowing. b) captivity and the Wilderness? Captivity is containment, a prison, stronghold of the enemy. The wilderness is where the Spirit drove Jesus for 40 days (not his entire lifetime) it’s where Jesus was tested, but defeated the enemy. God hides us. The enemy obscures us. c) thievery and warfare, spirits of delay and God’s will? Theft, warfare and delay is where the enemy comes against us. God’s will requires patience, but brings about Godly fruit.

     6. Are we unbelievers? - So many unbelievers, but we think we believe. How can faith arise if God’s word is not preached?

a) We believe in getting saved because we are preached and preached to about salvation. We believe we are going to heaven, but don’t believe there is benefit from God here - all the benefits are for heaven. We believe we go to heaven when we die, but here’s the truth - we’ve already died. We are already seated in heaven. Even Jesus taught in His prayer - thy kingdom come, thy will be done, ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN. The benefits of the cross are for eternal life from the time I get saved. If I don’t have eternal life now, I won’t have it when I die! It’s too late then. If you received Jesus, you already have eternal life.

b) we believe we are Christians, but don’t believe we are different than anyone else, except that we will go to heaven when we die.

c) We believe salvation is enough for this life, but don’t believe we need the fullness of the power of the Spirit to live this life. We don’t believe in tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy, healing, miracles, words of wisdom, words of knowledge, or discerning of spirits.

d) We don’t believe in miracles. Oh, we would if we saw it. THAT IS NOT FAITH. Seeing is NOT believing, but believing will allow you to see.

In other words, we are walking out our Christianity in the flesh not by our spirit. We control or manipulate what we say and how we live (manipulation is a form of witchcraft). The whole Old Testament (old covenant) proves we can’t do that!

Here is a passage from Galatians (in two versions) proving this:

“O YOU poor and silly and thoughtless and unreflecting and senseless Galatians! Who has fascinated or bewitched or cast a spell over you, unto whom–right before your very eyes–Jesus Christ (the Messiah) was openly and graphically set forth and portrayed as crucified? Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the [Holy] Spirit as the result of obeying the Law and doing its works, or was it by hearing [the message of the Gospel] and believing [it]? [Was it from observing a law of rituals or from a message of faith?] Are you so foolish and so senseless and so silly? Having begun [your new life spiritually] with the [Holy] Spirit, are you now reaching perfection [by dependence] on the flesh? Have you suffered so many things and experienced so much all for nothing (to no purpose)–if it really is to no purpose and in vain? Then does He Who supplies you with His marvelous [Holy] Spirit and works powerfully and miraculously among you do so on [the grounds of your doing] what the Law demands, or because of your believing in and adhering to and trusting in and relying on the message that you heard?” Galatians 3:1-5 AMPC

““What has happened to you Galatians to be acting so foolishly? You must have been under some evil spell! Didn’t God open your eyes to see the meaning of Jesus’ crucifixion? Wasn’t he revealed to you as the crucified one? So answer me this: Did the Holy Spirit come to you as a reward for keeping all the Jewish laws? No, you received him as a gift because you believed in the Messiah. Your new life in the Anointed One began with the Holy Spirit giving you a new birth. Why then would you so foolishly turn from living in the Spirit by trying to finish by your own works? Have you endured all these trials and persecutions for nothing? Let me ask you again: What does the lavish supply of the Holy Spirit in your life, and the miracles of God’s tremendous power, have to do with you keeping religious laws? The Holy Spirit is poured out upon us through the revelation and power of faith, not by keeping the law!” Galatians 3:1-5 TPT

     7. Are you aware of a mocking spirit? I wasn’t until this week! Read what Andrew Whalen (Elijah List) wrote: “A mocker is someone with an intent to bring derision. This enemy's goal is to dishonor, defame, belittle, and shipwreck one into unbelief. Ultimately, this enemy hates who Christ is and who we are in Him. A mocking spirit can come in many forms—through people, through circumstances, through spiritually manipulated events that attempt to steal our faith in the blessings and provisions in Christ, etc. This enemy is an enemy of God!…We must not tolerate the voice of the mocker in our souls, against our destinies, against our families, or against our identity in Christ. We must beat down the spiritual mockery that attempts to deride Christ's finished work! Sickness and disease are attempts to mock the victory of the Cross. Depression and anxiety are attempts to mock the peace of Christ. Hopelessness is an attempt to mock the hope of Jesus Christ.“ Wow!

     8. Are you aware of one of the enemy’s greatest ploys? A distracting spirit - busyness, entertainment, responsibility. We are so “distracted” we don’t notice we’ve prayed for a problem for 5-15-20 years! This was the purpose of the assignments we had of spending 5 minutes waiting before God- bringing every thought into captivity so we wouldn’t be distracted.

     9. What about a lying spirit? This spirit tells us God doesn’t and won’t “speak” to me. That is opposed to God’s word - “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” John 10:27 NKJV

     10. Are you familiar (familiar spirit) with a religious spirit? It will tell you because you haven’t spent enough time with God (it’s never enough), He won’t move through you. Therefore, you will not allow Him to rise up. For example, you argue with your spouse or children, have road rage, or kick the dog on your way to church. You shut yourself down spiritually. Your thinking is “I can’t prophesy. I can’t heal the sick because I was angry or mean.” Your actions were wrong but REPENT and move in God. Stop paying penance! Pay REPENTANCE! Then, ask Holy Spirit to change your heart which will change your actions. Don’t just manipulate your actions.

Finally. The purpose of all the things the enemy does - the grooming, gaslighting, brainwashing, and all the different spirits working one after the other while they “tap out” (like the WWF) is to kill, steal and destroy us!

How does that work? Let me use prodigal children as an example. The mocking spirit comes to mock your parenting skills and mock you for teaching the “no good” word! He taps out and the lying spirit comes to say your child will NEVER come back. He taps out for the distracting spirit to remind you of all your busy responsibilities. After all, the enemy can’t reveal all his ploys at one time or you may catch on to him. Then the religious spirit comes to condemn you for not spending all your time in prayer or reading the word. Then you think these are all your thoughts or the Holy Spirit when it’s neither!! See how he wants to drive us round and round?

Let me help you here. The seed you planted in your children is good seed. The seed when in soil always brings forth. It was the soil that brought forth 30-60-100 fold.  Your child is returning because the Holy Spirit never stops wooing and drawing. I’m not receiving God’s promises because I spend “enough” time with Him. I’m receiving from Him because He is faithful and is absolutely good and His will is that none should perish and that includes my child!

     11. Is this your condition?

“But this is a people plundered and looted; they are all of them trapped in holes and hidden in prisons; they have become plunder with none to rescue, spoil with none to say, 'Restore!'" (Isaiah 42:22)

YOU HAVE SOMEONE TO SAY IT. I say RESTORE!

I had an experience a couple of years ago where the Lord walked through my bed and handed me a white stone. I didn’t know what that meant so I prayed about it for a couple of years. This year, He told me it meant “Restorer”. (Here’s a scripture to back up this experience):

““He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it.” “ Revelation 2:17 NKJV

Because the Holy Spirit told me I am a Restorer. I say RESTORE to YOU - restore everything of yours that has been stolen, killed or destroyed with interest and added spoils for your trouble! Restore truth to you where you have been groomed, gaslighted or brainwashed!

Assignment? Ponder what you’ve read. Meditate on what the Holy Spirit exposes.

Ask the Holy Spirit to root out the lies and plant truth in its place!

“Holy Spirit, reveal and expose the lies and manipulation of the enemy in my life.”

Love you, Restored, Believing Warriors!

What Price Are You Paying?

October 20, 2023

“Open your ears to hear.  Do not let your mind gate shut you down.Do not deflect what you will read (meaning “I wish so and so would read this” thus deflecting truth from you)!Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any area - is this me?  Where is this in me?

What price are you paying for your sin?  What? That’s crazy!  Really?

For example, I know someone who is divorced and has made divorce the unforgivable sin.  Therefore, they won’t consider getting remarried. They may not know it, but they believe they are “paying” for their sin!

Are we suffering for Jesus’ sake or suffering for the sake of sin?  For example, if we suffer for righteousness’ sake, it is because of our standing for Jesus. If we suffer because we’ve had trauma, or sickness, or poverty - that’s suffering caused by the demonic agenda of the thief who steals, kills and destroys!

Religion believes in paying for sin and asks stupid questions. Look at the story of the blind beggar in John 9. The disciples asked Jesus, “Who sinned, this man or his parents?” Now let me ask you, what heinous sin could a baby commit in his mother’s womb, that God would strike him with blindness? A stupid question, but also a tell of their mindset - they thought God wanted a pound of flesh.

The religious mindset believed the man was paying the price for his sin. If we don’t let Jesus pay our price, then we allow the enemy to steal from us by deceiving us to think we can pay the price for sin.

Do we have this mindset?

I deserve to suffer because….

I deserve to be poor because I made poor financial decisions… I deserve to get a cold because I have not taken proper rest….

I deserve to be alone because of the way I treat people….

I deserve to be afraid and worry because I cannot control everyone and every situation….

I deserve to be in emotional pain because… I deserve to be maimed because I cut myself…I was careless…I was drunk…I was strung out…..

This is not suffering for Jesus!  These are the effects of sin. This is allowing the thief to steal, kill and destroy us!  STOP PAYING THE PRICE FOR YOUR SIN. JESUS PAID THAT PRICE!  And when we receive the price Jesus paid, He justifies us - JUST AS IF we never sinned!

I heard the testimony of a woman who was a cutter and scarred herself. This means she not only cut herself with a knife or razor to take away her pain, but also to make the cuts so they would scar her body.  She got saved. In about an hour, she came back to those who led her to Christ and all the scars were gone!  Jesus not only bore our sins and transgressions. He was wounded for us and carries our scars!

Don’t we reap what we sow?  Without God, yes, we do, but JESUS CHANGES EVERYTHING!

Remember the story of Ruth, the Moabitess?  She came from a people who did not believe in God. They were idol worshippers, but she loved Naomi and followed her back to Bethlehem. She and Naomi had nothing. She planted nothing, BUT she reaped in the field of her kinsman redeemer - Boaz! She didn’t reap her harvest. She reaped his harvest!

When we come to Jesus and receive what He has done, we don’t reap what we’ve sown. We reap what Jesus has sown!  Selah (meditate on this)

This is our next assignment: “Holy Spirit, expose those areas where I’m trying to pay the price; where I’m trying to suffer for sin.  I receive what Jesus did. I want the “whole” life Jesus bought for me!”

Thank you, Jesus!

Love you, Justified, Warriors!

Debbie Brewer

Good Morning, Hungry Hubbers!

Debbie Brewer

October 17, 2023

We are moving away from being religious Christians who are unbelieving believers participating in ritualistic works!  Doesn’t that sound ridiculous?  Doesn’t your mind say, “What are you talking about?”

Let me ask you  - do you pray, expecting answers or are you going through the motions (rituals)?

I’ve been to churches where the prayer lists are a mile long, but  you never hear a testimony!  I know we believe in prayer, but do we believe in answers to prayer?

In your times of prayer, is it a monologue or do you wait and give God a chance to speak?  Do you require Him to speak or are you okay with no interaction (a ritual)?  God wants relationship - which means both of us are engaged and communicating.

Do we speak in tongues, but don’t know what we’ve said (could be a ritual)?  The word says we speak mysteries to God!  What mysteries are being unveiled to you?  Interpretation of tongues, just like speaking in tongues, is a manifestation of the spirit.

Do we read the word to check off a box (a ritual) or do we receive revelation of what God is speaking to us?  Do we meditate on that word so that it sinks deep into our “heart” and becomes the soil for the seeds of our confession?

Are we unbelieving believers?  Do we believe we are saved and going to heaven, but don’t believe in prophecy, miracles, healing, speaking in tongues, abundance, gifts of the spirit, wisdom, dreams, visions, and the five-fold ministry (apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers) - all privileges of born again believers and also Biblically sound doctrine?

We’ve had the assignment to spend five, only five, minutes/day saying nothing. No prayer.  No worship.  Taking our thoughts captive.  Listening for Him!
We’ve spoken in tongues for 2 minutes/day.
We’ve enlarged our Holy Ghost vocabulary and spoken in different tongues.

We’ve prophesied.  Speaking God’s word over ourselves and other’s lives.
Last week we became aware of our spiritual senses. In the Spirit, what are we seeing, hearing, sensing, smelling and tasting?

This week our assignment is our prayers.  Listen to your prayers. What are you praying?

I don’t pray for anyone to do the right thing any more as if their not doing the right thing keeps God from moving.   Remember, Christ died for our sins while we were yet sinners (Romans 5:8).  He didn’t wait for us to straighten up. If that was the case, Christ would not have yet come.  I pray for God to encounter them. God is the greater in these equations. His movement is what changes situations!  It’s Him - His goodness, His mercy, His faithfulness, the fragrance of His knowledge that causes hunger for Him.

Who do we believe is bigger - God or the enemy?  For example, if we pray for the enemy to stop, we may have developed a mindset that says the enemy has to get out of the way in able for God to work. If I believe that, then who am I saying is the greater one?  Let me help you - not God!  For example, in the story of Esther, God didn’t stop Haman from building the gallows, but used the same gallows for His plan not Haman’s!

Let God arise.
His arising scatters the enemy.
His strategies destabilize the chaos of the enemy.
His plans circumvent anything the enemy is doing.
His light dispels the darkness.
His truth exposes the lies.

Aren’t you hungry, salivating, desirous of Him?

“…The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”
James 5:16 NKJV

Love you effectually, fervently praying, Warriors!

Have you put on all your armor yet this morning?

Alva Jean Chesser

October 10, 2023

“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having GIRDED YOU WAIST WITH TRUTH, having PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, and having SHOD YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE;  ABOVE ALL, TAKING THE SHIELD OF FAITH with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

And take the HELMET OF SALVATION, and the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints..."

Ephesians‬ 6‬:‭11‬-‭18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

OH…..and don’t forget your garment of praise against the spirit of heaviness!!

“To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, THE GARMENT OF PRAISE FOR THE SPIRIT OF HEAVINESS; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.””
 ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭61‬:‭3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Good Morning Warriors!

Debbie Brewer

August 25, 2023

I do not want to cheer you up today. I do not want to be a cheerleader who cheers you on this hour just to have to cheer you on each of the next 23 hours!  I do not want to rub your back and comfort you so you continue to sit in a passive posture of “one day….when I see it, feel it, taste it, sense it or smell it, I will have it.”  I want to push you over the edge. I want your eyes to see the promise in your hand. I want your ears to hear shouts of victory. I want you to feel satisfaction. I want you to know justice. I want you to dig your heels in to get traction because if God said it, provided it, and promised it, it’s yours and you are getting it!

Why have we believed God is the thief?  Why have we believed He’s standing passively by while the real thief steals our health, our wealth, our dreams, and our relationships?

“A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect—life in its fullness until you overflow!”  John 10:10 TPT

What is God’s will?  That we get everything in abundance, more than we expect until we overflow. Are you there?

“…He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.”    Ephesians 3:20 TPT

Are you in the infinitely, greatest, unbelievable, and exceeding life?  Paul says God will do even more!

Remember Caleb?  He was one of the two spies who believed they could enter the promised land. For 40 years, his vision of taking the promised land simmered and stewed while the Children of Israel marched around and around in the wilderness.  Yes, God provided for them, but it wasn’t what God had promised. God had promised him his own land.

Look what God said about him:

“But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it.”  Numbers 14:24 NKJV Notice it wasn’t just for Caleb, but his descendants, too!

Do you have a “different” spirit?  One that believes the impossible and believes that God wants the impossible for you?

After 40 years, at 85, this is what Caleb said:

“As yet I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in. Now therefore, give me this mountain...””    Joshua 14:11-12 NKJV

Are you taking your mountain or is your mountain taking you?

In I Kings 18, Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal as they went through their litany of rituals, even cutting themselves to no avail.  Then at the end of the day, God had instructed Elijah to repair the altar, to prepare the sacrifice, then in the midst of a drought, douse the sacrifice not once, not twice, but three times with water. He made the impossible even more impossible!  That didn’t keep God from showing up!

How impossible is your situation?  Make it more impossible.  Take out your impossible from the “wishing” well and out of hiding and say the impossible not once, not twice, but three times. (You know you think it anyway!) I’ve been sick forever.

  • I can’t have a baby.
  • I’ve never had abundance
  • I’ve always been financially challenged - oh say it, “POOR”!
  • I’ve always been alone.
  • I’m so hopeless I can’t even enumerate all that’s impossible.
  • I have no vision.
  • I have reached the zenith of my life and anything good, exciting and fulfilling were never met and those days are past.
  • No one has ever done what God has put in my heart, how could I?
  • When will this ________ (fill in the blank) change?

What is your impossible?

Now that you have that darkness, that chaos, that void, that disappointment, that discouraging situation out in the open - skewer that finally exposed IMPOSSIBILITY with the sword of the Spirit:

NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD!

Warriors, nothing is impossible with God!  You are of a different spirit - the Holy Spirit!

One of the first signs of a believer in His name, according to Jesus in Mark 16:17, is casting out demons!

Cast away those demons of delay and religious spirits and take your mountain!  Cast away that spirit of infirmity that plagues you.  File those claims against the thief for sevenfold return - enumerate the thefts!  Get a $ number in your head.

Tell that lying spirit that lies to you that “God has never and will never” to GO TO HELL! Tell that mind-blinding spirit that makes your mind go blank and you can’t find the hilt of your sword to release you. Then pick up the sword of the Spirit and wield it!

Get the wisdom you need to move - wherever, however, whenever!  If not now, when?

It’s time!

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31 NKJV

Debbie, life just has problems!  Oh yes, but David under the old covenant said:

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.” Psalms 34:19 NKJV

(how many does God deliver us from?  ALL)

But, Debbie, even Jesus didn’t heal all the sick people. No, He didn’t, but He healed and delivered everyone who came to Him!  Aren’t we coming to Him and in His name?

  • Jesus died for my sins - whenever would it not be God’s will for me to be saved?
  • Jesus was striped for my healing- whenever would it be God’s will for me to be sick?
  • Jesus was cursed because He hung on that cross -  whenever would it be God’s will for me to be cursed?
  • Jesus carried my griefs and sorrows - whenever would it be God’s will for me to live in continual sorrow?
  • Jesus lived a short life so we could have a long one - whenever would it be God’s will for me to die young?
  • Jesus was bruised for my iniquities - whenever would it be God’s will for me to continue to carry iniquities from generation to generation?

Days of heaven on earth! God said it, provided it, and promised it. It’s yours!  Warriors, take your mountain(s)!

Love you, Mountain Taking Warriors!

An Angel Showed Up!

James Daryl Chesser

May 15, 2023

An Angel suddenly showed up at Mary's house and began to tell her amazing things about conceiving a son and that he would be called the Son of God. Mary was a bit stunned by all of this and asked a simple question…

Luke 1:34-38 MEV

Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?" The angel answered her, "THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL COME UPON YOU, AND THE POWER OF THE HIGHEST (God) WILL OVERSHADOW YOU. Therefore the Holy One who will be born will be called the Son of God. Listen, your cousin Elizabeth has also conceived a son (the old fashioned way) IN HER OLD AGE.  And this is the sixth month with her WHO WAS DECLARED BARREN. For WITH GOD NOTHING WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE."

Mary said, "I am the servant of the Lord. MAY IT BE TO ME ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD." Then the angel departed from her.

Amazing! There are so many things in this passage that are wonderful! Let's start with an Angel just showing up at her house. I don’t believe that I have ever seen an Angel..unless I was looking in the mirror, of course. 😐😁😇 I think i would be startled if one showed up in my room. From what I’ve seen on Christian TV apparently almost everyone has seen/is currently seeing angels.

Anyway, an Angel showed  up and began to tell Mary that she would conceive and have a son, and she would name him Jesus, and he would be called th son of the highest. And Mary's response was a legitimate question…ok Angel man, so exactly how are these things going to happen? The angels response was as if it was right out of Genesis 1…

THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL COME UPON YOU, ND THE POWER OF THE HIGHEST (God) WILL OVERSHADOW YOU.

Now look at what Genesis 1 says…

Genesis 1:1-2 KJVS In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. AND THE (Holy) SPIRIT OF GOD MOVED UPON THE FACE OF THE WATERS.

Wow! GOD WAS CREATING A NEW KINGDOM in the same manner that he created the earth, the sun, stars, animals, and man. GOD SPOKE TO MARY BY HIS ANGEL declaring to her what was going to happen.

There is only one difference from Genesis to Mary. In this fallen world man had authority and would have to agree with God for these things to happen. In the beginning of Genesis there were no men of which to ask cooperation. God gave the earth to men through Adam. Man has authority in this realm. Go would then need partners to bring this thing, this new kingdom, to pass. That's pretty much the whole Bible narrative…God working with and through man to be fruitful in building His glorious kingdom. He partnered with Noah. He partnered with Abraham, Issac, and Jacob, he partnered with Moses, he partnered with David, and so on, and so on, right up until the time of Mary.

So, what would be her decision to the Angel's declaration?

Mary told the Angel, “MAY IT BE TO ME ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD." At that moment of her agreement, of her releasing her faith in the Word of the Lord, I believe was the moment of conception.

Jesus was conceived in Mary's womb by faith in the word of God!

Amazing! At that moment the end of the dark kingdom was doomed. The consummate human partner with God was being formed in Mary's womb. Jesus then was born, lived his sinless life, declared the Good News of his Father, was crucified, buried, and was raised from the dead. Thus was born the unbreakable, eternal, perfect partnership between God and Man called the New Covenant. Jesus Christ the MAN now sits at the right hand of God ever interceding in humanity’s behalf.

So, yes, Mary's simple words of agreement started an eternal kingdom, a heavenly Stone rolling down the mountain of earth's kingdoms, destroying them all until his everlasting kingdom fills the whole earth.

Our agreement with God's word today sounds like a small thing, but this small thing begins a great avalanche of God's Holy Spirit power working on our behalves.

So what is our response today to God's word?

So be it according to your word. It is finished. He is risen and he is Lord.

Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household.

Can you see it? Can you hear it? Can you feel it?

May 12, 2023

It has been like we have been stuck in a dinghy on a muddy shore for a LONG time.  We have been there and nothing would move us. We’ve been beached through sickness, death, divorce, financial issues, family problems etc., etc.  Nothing would move our boat. Some have given up from the strain, others just laid down in the boat with the mindset - “What’s the point?”

But hear the slap of the waves.  See the water rising and hold on because your equilibrium may be tested as the back of the boat begins to rise off the stinking, sucking, muddy shore.

We’ve been sidelined so long we’ve forgotten the feel of the rocking of the boat in water and the wind blowing in our hair. We’ve been forced to become accustomed to a slow, s-l-o-w, s—l—o—w pace, but get ready, get ready, get ready - the pace is changing.

Don’t just say Amen to this word. TAKE IT for you, for your situation, for your family.  Believe this

word so much that if only one person’s boat on the shore moves - IT IS GOING TO BE YOURS!  Buy a journal. Get a notebook. Be prepared to record what God is about to do!

““Yes indeed, it won’t be long now.” God’s Decree. They’ll never again

be uprooted from the land I’ve given them.” God, your God, says so.”

Amos 9:13-15 MSG

This word is for you. Don’t wait for it. TAKE IT!
